I legitimately thought he tipped in that first goal. I have no idea why he ever got an assist on the Clowe goal, though.

That's what I was thinking too. lol

But wouldn't Clowe get the secondary assist there instead of Girardi? Only reason I ask is because I thought originally he did, but it was taken away since it went off Byron Boy. Now they give the goal back to Richards and the secondary went to Girardi? It's probably right, I was just confused and can't really look at the replay or anything right now.

Richards got an assist taken away on the first goal because you can't get a goal and an assist on the same play for some reason.

I would say J-Bo was that guy. But I agree that getting Murray is not going to improve their team. I don't think Morrow is quick enough to fit in either.

OK, sure. Now that it's a two-point game, I don't find it surprising, though.

You might also be able to make the argument that they're trying to change the team too much right before the playoffs in a shortened season, but you never really know how that will pan out.

Not having Crosby, Letang, and Martin are probably bigger issues at the moment

I was kinda mad we got that 4th PP in the closing minutes because I figured we wouldn't score on it and it would bring down our percentage.

Powe missed an empty net though, so we were soooooo close! Would've been nice to see the 4th line get a PP goal and go 4/4. Also would have been the third player to get his first goal of the season in the game and 4th player first goal as a Ranger. Damnit Powe!

Just finished watching the game and I am so pissed off everytime the Penguins are on NBC. It's like it's their feed. "Mattie Niskanen", Danny Bylsma", "Geno". And to top it all off, during the second period, Doc Emrick and Eddie Olczyk were discussing the teams and Eddie O. looked really disappointed with the fact the Pens were trailing 5-1.

Sickening.

On the match: Happy with the win, thrilled with the new guys pitching in the way they did!

Clowe, Brassard, Moore, McDonagh, Zuccarello, Richards and Boyle were all great.

Man of the match for me was Brassard. Stepan-lite!

Had a big laugh when Emrick called our big guy Byron Boy hahahaha

Any clip of the Byron Boy comment available yet? Watched the replay today, was even funnier hearing it again.

Did anyone else catch the shot Eddie O took at Keenan? He was asked if he would take something out of the old Keenan coach book and he said something like "I would never take anything out of his book and thats speaking from experience."

Maybe I heard it wrong but it sounded like a shot at Iron Mike.

Seriously. They spent the entire pregame show talking about how great the Pens are and how much the Rangers suck. Then, the Rangers are up by 4 and they're making excuses for the Pens. They went from a powerhouse that can't possibly lose to a team missing all their vital pieces in like, twenty minutes. Such terrible bias.

Were you guys watching the North Korean state TV network?

I never notice this sort of stuff. And even if there is an obvious Penguin slant, which I dont think there is, who the heck cares?

The game is tough enough - no need for another chip on your shoulder.

Agreed. I didn't notice much bias tonight. But it's obvious Olcyk is bitter about the Rangers for something, not sure what. It sterns from last years playoff series against the Capitals.
