Very, very early, but so far it looks that way.
My point was did Detroit/others have better offers? If so, why not taken?
The reference to salary cap is basis for a probable good reason...

Because there are better offers?

Bit of a no brainer there, good on Murray. I'm curious what he wanted from the Oilers if he asked for Couturier from the Flyers though.

And rightly so, where did you hear about this?

I think it will happen in the off season.

Chevy was also talking about not having the pieces needed for a lot of trades. We're guessing a lot of sellers wanted prospects, to which we have none we can part with unlike other teams.

Thank you. Agreed.
For a high enough return, however, I would have eaten part of the deal this year and next.

Phillie would easily trade that for OEL, but Yandle is a much less complete player than OEL.

it's interesting looking at the three proposals

Jones + 2nd
Rinaldo + 2nd
Conacher + 4th

edmonton clearly didnt come prepared to the party. The other two teams are offering 22/23 yo roster players and edmonton is offering up a UFA.
wow, so that's what holmgren offered for bishop but got mason instead for a 3rd. what an idiot.

I read the offer for Torres was a 4th. I also read somewhere that the Canucks made a push for Clarkson but were obviously turned down.

The return Buffalo got for Pomminville is light years better this proposal, so I doubt very much that Regehr asked for that package when he got close to double from Minny.

I disagree. Management is still sky high on Couturier, and that is a top-10 1st rounder, plus Read is extremely productive for his cap hit. Still too much. Holmgren wouldn't trade Couturier+B. Schenn for Shea Weber, remember?

unbelievable. canuck fans still want a much higher return for luongo despite seeing what gillis offered the leafs as reported by lebrun and dregs. the return you're going to get this summer will be worse than what was offered by Gillis. i honestly can't wait to see how this ends.

Find it incredibly hard to believe that Nonis would offer that, even more so Phoenix because wouldn't accept.

Yeah, because he's getting SO many other offers, right? Why do Nucks fans continually think they're going to get some huge return when it's pretty clear that they won't? Time and time again, nothing happens.
