What's the chance of making the playoffs now percentage wise? I'm curious to see the number now.

yeah they have played more games then anyone else but they are tied with Florida for the most regualtion losses. 18 games left. How many games would say they can "afford" to lose. 4? 5? Some are speculating that 53-55 points is a likely playoff bubble target. 26-28 points in 18 games.
So you are looking at what a minimum of 13-5 just to get to 53. Im not seeing it either.

My concern is Homer will still be a buyer even with the odds low.

At this point the playoffs are a very slim possibility, I bumped this thread to ask a more pertinent question.

Did the trade deadline improve the chances of the Flyers beating the odds and making it in? The Rangers basically admitted defeat, as well as some other teams in the playoff race, by standing pat or dumping off players. So do you guys think the competition in front of us weakened enough to finish 9th (just the way this seasons going) or will we finish up near the bottom.

How did Rangers admit defeat? They brought a bunch of players in at the expense of Gaborik? Washington brought help in too. Sure this trade helped us, gave us a better backup and then we got a fighter and a 4th liner. That will help us out of the basement but definitely not in to the playoffs.

Idk, it feels like the trades we made today are to keep us on par for how the season has been. If we were sellers, we would be admitting to trying to draft high this year, instead it looks like the Flyers just want to draft in the top 5-10. Idk, it will be interesting to see how the team plays with so many injuries and new players added to the mix

Yeah, I agree, when I saw the trades I thought the Rangers are really going for it.

Making the PO's:

Beat Montreal 5-3, playoff odds up 4.3 to 13.9%

they are 4 points out of a PO spot despite winning just 4 road games so far. Unreal.

****ing SE, though. None of the teams would be in at the moment if it wasn't for the winner gets in automatically in rule.

It would be epic if they make the playoffs and knock out the Penguins first round.

If our record over the next 11 games is the same as in our last 11 there is over 50% chance of making them. 6-3-2.

I don't want to get in and beat the Penguins.

I want to get it on the last day with a shootout vs the Sens where the Rangers also lose the #8 on a shootout on the same day then beat the Pens in Rd. 1

I kinda wished we played the Rags last again.
