You're not serious with this are you? Half of these guys don't even have enough starts to properly compare them to Bryz.

Wait, you're using statistics now? It's not fair to judge these goalies on their poor numbers without first understanding how many quality scoring chances their teams are giving up... right?

after all, all he needs to do is look at those stats to rank the goalies 1 through 60 ..... that's what we've heard all year, right ?

Bryz has played more than 20 games than some of them and still not that much better statistically than most of them.

Bryzgalov - 34 gp
Mason - 13 gp
Halak - 16 gp
Quick - 28 gp
Theodore - 15 gp
Hedberg - 17 gp
MacDonald - 14 gp
Kiprusoff - 18 gp
Clemmensen - 14 gp
Elliot - 12 gp

So your list includes 1 other full time starter (Quick) whose situation has been discussed over and over with you, a couple back ups, and a couple 1B/1B situations. That's supposed to make us feel better about the play of Bryz?

It's best not to use logic when arguing with BP74

Aside from the stats, which one of these guys would you rather have than Bryz? Exactly the point he was trying to make.

Serious question: Have you ever taken any type of statistics course above the high school level? This question isn't meant to be demeaning or anything. I'm just wondering.

Most of them I'd rather have than Bryz. Cheaper cap hit with similar production.

And most of those goalies would be considered bad,not true starters, or backups. The most notable exception is Quick, who seems to be pretty affected by the back surgery.

So what BP74 has proven here is that Bryz hasn't been all that good. Well done. I guess he finally understands.

Considering three of them are normally starters and the rest are backups. I would take Quick and Halak over Bryz. The only starter I wouldn't take over him is Kipper and I'm not 100% confident in that.

so, what.

you are not allowed to qualify stats here, don't you know that ?

you said there could not be worse options than Bryz in net.

i gave you a list of goalies who qualify to be listed in the sv% leaders list & all of them are below Bryz.

so, yes, there are worse options & the stats prove it. you do just go by the numbers, right ?

don't tell me that NOW you want to qualify the numbers & come up with reasons why the guys who are statistically worse than Bryz, are really better than Bryz ...

You wouldn't rather have Halak, Quick, Kipper, Theodore? I believe Mason would put up better numbers with this team than Bryz too.

Serious question if Bryz was playing so well then why all of sudden is every national hockey related show now talking about how the Flyers should buy-out Bryz this summer and bashing his play?

I wonder how well Bryz pays people to stick up and defend him on internet discussions. Must be really high-paying.

The housing conditions are a bit rough, but at least they're bug-free. I hear MSE gets a nice condo. It even has an ice maker in the fridge! I strive to work up to such luxuries.
