why in the F are people panicking after we lost in SJ and everyone knew that was going to happen.

Jesus, chill out. All we have to do is stay ahead of Vancouver, EDM won't catch us....and or we almost have a 3 game lead on 8th place (do you realize how big of a lead that is with only 12 or so games left).... also, our last 5 or so games are very friendly.

All is good.

7 of our last 12 games are very winnable and then the rest are 50/50 .... so my math says we should plan on getting near 14 more points or so... That should put us in the playoffs no matter the seed

Oh goodness no. It wasn't just because of last night. That would certainly be jumping the gun. It's been the last 4-5 games where they've struggled.

Hoping they get some points tonight. Excited to see The Captain Line.

Wild lost most of thier cushion and nothing is for certain anymore. Tough, tough schedule coming up. Hope the boys are ready to start playing some tough playoff hockey starting tonight.

We've played pretty horrible in the last 5 games or so.
But Pommy is here and all is saved!

Geese guys, it's not that bad.

If the team shows up tonight, they stand a chance at winning. If they don't show up, they'll all get their ***** chewed.

When no one, including myself, thought they would turn it around, they did. They've had a long, tough stretch of about 10 games. They have about three more to go, then the schedule looks like it will lighten up for the rest of the season. Even if we go .500 from here on out, we're pretty much guaranteed to be in the post season.

Even at this teams worse, they still go about .500.

Every team in the league this year has had their ups and downs. I watched the Sabres beat the tar out of the freakin Pens the other day, and seriously, that game was embarrassing to watch. The Pens looked like crap and the Sabres looked like the Beast of the East.

We don't all have to run off a cliff with a little adversity now. They'll figure their **** out, just like they did before.

yeah we have played bad but every team goes through those runs. Pitts isn't playing great right now, luckily they have a huge lead.

I still don't see the Wild failing to make the playoffs (probably said that last year) but too much has to go wrong with injuries for this to take place.... then and only then will I be very mad we gave up our 1st round pick.

As much as I want it to be our year, it won't be. Next year is our best chance for a deep cup run

luckily all of the teams in the 3-9 standings of the west all have to play each other... not all will be able to pass the Wild unless the Wild lose more than 60% of their games.

do not quote me on that, I have not done the math between each teams schedules but take it as a loose / realistic possibility

The cushion between where the Wild are now and 8th place has stayed pretty steady at 6 pts since the win streak, the fact that it is now 5 hardly having lost "most of their cushion".

Wild are only 5 points ahead of Edmonton which sits in 8th place. And if we have to face Chicago or Anaheim first round we are almost certainly not advancing.

Chicago: You never know. It's the playoffs.

Anaheim: Wild definitely can beat them.

And we're starting to see that.

Little depth at center with Cullen out. Little depth at defense. Little depth at goaltender. Imagine if Backstrom goes down or Brodin or Suter?

Has anyone else noticed that there have been fewer, in-game, Pitbull commercials and that it coincides with us not playing as well + increased injuries.

I couldn't agree more. I think we can beat ANA and anything can happen against CHI, especially with our new 1st line...

What worries me is that if we don't win the nw div. is playing all the series on the road.... but LAK sure made it look easy

random point.

I really wish Fletcher pissed off other GM's and put an offer on PK this winter. I would love having him right now but I can't say I remember what the compensation would be exactly per his salary. 1st round / multiple picks or 2nd round and multi picks.

any who, ... carry on

Chicago's depth beats us 9 times out of 10. Not to mention the United Center is not friendly to the Wild and in the playoffs it will be nuts. I don't think we'd get swept or anything but we'd lose in 6 probably.

Anaheim is definitely beatable but we cannot win in the Honda center and the Ducks have our number. They always have owned us in the playoffs and are 3-0 against us this year. Yes I know we should have won at least one of them but the fact remains that they still found a way and we did not.

You do realize that we are already reaping the benefits of our goalie depth while dealing with Harding's unexpected and unfortunate situation? Very few teams would not be ****ed if their starter goes down.

We play 'em 10 times, they might win 9. But not tonight.

Over the past 5-6 years or so every building the Wild went into was a nightmare because the Wild were a nightmare. I really wish people would stop refering to the past when it has not a thing to do with the current Wild.

Dont believe me? They just recently won in Vancouver, Detroit and Dallas and did it in a span of about a week.
