There is no actual clock from what I could tell. Instead the old guy (with an annoyed tone) would remind the team that they were up. Just funny since it's almost no different than doing a fantasy league with friends and getting frustrated when somebody is taking too long.

The Sharks traded up for Nieto, who just signed this weekend. I'm partial to the Southern California prospects. In the video, the moderator told San Jose to wait because their trade with Florida hadn't been official registered yet. San Jose got him at #47 and I think the Kings wanted him at #49. The Kings ended up taking a goalie (Chris Gibson) which I can't think was their Plan A going into that day.

I feel like Lou will keep this year's 1st Round Pick and draft J.C. Lipon out of nowhere.

It always amuses me how do they know where the said guy is going to be. I mean, you kind of know the range but still.

And also, how do they know who wants whom. How do they figure they definitely need to move up to get the guy they wanted.

Must be pretty random and hectic.

I gotta start paying more attention to this.

Wish the Devils could get Drouin.

It'll never happen, cause I think Drouin is going #2 behind Jones, but I would kill babies at the chance of selecting Drouin.

The kid is going to be a stud.

There should be some good forwards available mid round, specifically Mantha and Erne. If we could get one of them that would be great.

Tickets will likely be free. Info should be provided by the team here in the next month or so.

We should hear about tickets sometime soon. Last year, the 'sale' date for the general public was in early June. I seem to recall that the sale date was earlier in 2010 and 2011. Tickets will likely be free (plus whatever lovely surcharge Ticketmaster levies). Hopefully the ticket process is smoother this year; Pittsburgh had some technical difficulties which shut out a lot of folks.

I really wish the NHL would charge some sort of nominal fee (say $10) just to dissuade people from reserving more tickets than they plan to use. Heck, it'd be easy PR to use that money towards youth hockey or Sandy victims.

It depends on how many points teams get in the western conference but it would definately by 14 or higher.

Is there a site that lists all teams picks for the 2013 (and subsequent years too, I suppose) draft?

http://www.prosportstransactions.com...tTrades/Years/ - Love this site, they also have NFL/NBA if you are so inclined.

I'll post a premature post-deadline mock tonight. It's kinda funny how razor thin the margin in with Washington/Winnipeg. Division winner gets to pick in the 20s, loser might get a top 10 pick.

Yes, still have our 4th - we traded next year's 4th in the Poni deal.

Actually, could see Lou use this year to trade back 2 or 3 spots and pick up another 2nd rounder to add to the depth pool. There are some decent guys all through this draft and if we're picking 13th or 14th, there are some good D ranked around that but we could trAde back and still get Mantha, Domi, Erne, etc. Then we could get 3 decent forwards in the first 2 rounds, a crap shoot Euro with our 4th, and then pick Brodeurs kid in the 6th.

Trading up costs draft picks - which we really don't have.

Maybe we can dump clarkson's rights for a pick..
