Hard to imagine the Caps not winning that division.

Preds intermission broadcast showing video of the NHL office clearing the Gaborik trade call.

Reasonably interesting TV considering that it's just a dude talking on speakerphone in a non-descript office.

Happy with JT Miller, but I knew Saad was going to produce at this level

If there's one positive in the new alignment, it's that this joke of a division will be history.

Were heralding players for almost scoring now?

Unfortunately the only non-pathetic team is added to ours.

If we are, Dubinsky had an ankle breaker of a toe drag earlier for a nice chance that Rinne stopped.

Agreed. Although I admit that I preferred Miller over Saad at that point in time. Still early, but imagine Saad-Tarasenko over Miller and McIlrath for this season.

Why not? He is playing great for a rookie.

On the other hand Bouwmeester's looked pretty meh so far.

Still 5 behind them. Philly is 2 behind us. Don't look too far ahead yet.

I remember that. I was intrigued by him in the 2nd round. Didn't fall far enough for us to trade up to get him.

Indeed. Put some wins together and scoreboard watching becomes less of a necessity.

Bottom line: Rangers take care of their business, the Rangers end up in 6th. Period. Scoreboard watching is all kinds of fun... but this is clearly in the Rangers hands and of all the bubble teams they have the most talent and the overall best team.

Dubi is so strong on the puck. His best quality by far.
