Blake Wheeler and Andrew Ladd are both better players.
Kane's 21. He's younger than Danny "Messiah" Kriso even.
Regarding the game:
We're a damn good team.
We have a really imposing style of play and our forecheck is ferocious.
We have great work ethic and don't give up on the play - and when we do it's so glaring that the player rarely repeats that mistake again.
We're lucky to have good goaltending.
Eller has fantastic fundementals, he needs to open up his vision some more - this isn't guaranteed but if it happens the sky's the limit.
Desharnais is the opposite - his fundamentals are god-awful, he's poor defensively and he cheats a lot but he can thread the needle very well.
Galchy finally scored, yippie. I hope Gallagher wins the Calder, he's been a great presence for us.
Moen, Prust and Halpern are all playing very well.
Depth is key, depth is good.
All that said, I'm calling it now: Bouillon and Drewskie have to be relied upon FAR FAR less. They're going to kill us in the playoffs. Everytime they're on the ice it's as if we're skating uphill - and all the forwards have to backcheck a whole lot more and exhaust themselves because the two d-men are chasing the puck-carrier like tweedledee and tweedledum.
The Emelin - Kane fight was started by Emelin. Check out the video before Kane starts hammering him. Emelin gets a forearm up into Kane's face AFTER that he facewashes him. lol No wonder Kane went ballistic, especially considering it was late in the game and Habs were leading 4-1.
I also don't think Kane was trying to hit Emelin with this helmet. Emelin's helmet came off after a punch to it and Kane was just trying to throw it away - to get it out of the way.
Kane's a tough kid. I'd love him on the Habs.
Emelin should not be fighting. He sucks at it. OTOH, he hasn't exactly picked his spots either - Chara and now Kane. You have to love his effort.
Refs jump in pretty quick when a player doesn't want to fight they don't just let a player wail on a player who isn't fighting.
When fists fly at you, I think it is natural to try to defend yourself somehow. Instinct doesn't tell you 'Maybe the refs will get here quickly.' Emelin had to at least be aware that a fight can escalate when you start shoving a guy up high.
Nothing. But in that case he gave Kane a shove up high and after a few more shoves Kane unleashed fists of fury. So then what do you do? What would have had him do when Chara started pounding on him? Run away?
Against Kane we both know he didn't have to initiate that ****. It didn't have to end up in a fight like it did.
Against Chara he simply could have stayed down on the ice. He went out of his way to get up and get punched. It was a bit silly.
Kane didn't "throw" the helmet at all, it stuck around and latched onto something unnaturally.
Anyway this isn't about Kane, but the kid's a beast and all the "drama" about his attitude was conjured by ONE (presumably racist, bigoted) western unprofessional beat writer for the Jets and it swung around the internet. See the baseless hate Subban gets? Why don't you believe that Kane get it as well - ESPECIALLY in a white ass city like Winnipeg with a bunch of crotchety old loser sports journalists.
