We are going to sign him back I think...The price was steep and he instagrammed pics with him saying how hes been wishing to wear the Ranger Hat for best player of a game on the NYR since 24/7.
I think he will like it here...Hopefully he continues to play well

Which makes me wonder whether Clowe or his agent are insane.

I think he'll get 5-5.5 mil a year. If he was wiling to take 4 or under, he'd still be a shark.

My understanding of the new CBA is that the max contract term he could get would be 7 years, because he isn't resigning with the team that developed him in their system.

7 years from a from a new team, 8 years if you sign an extension with your current team. So Clowe is reportedly looking for NYR to sign him to 8 year 34 million contract.

It's not how he started that is important, it is how he finishes.

He also said he wanted to be a Shark for the rest of his career. He didn't leave San Jose because he wanted to, he left because DW felt that they needed to part ways. He only said he wanted to come east after he knew he was getting traded.

I highly doubt anyone will give him more than 4 years. He has been regressing in his speed for a while. In three years, he'll probably be too slow to play in the NHL.

4 years, $17 million is much more realistic.

I do hope NYR signs Clowe in the offseason. I sure would love that extra 2nd

Seems like a reasonable guess. 4 years seems like a good-term, money could be anywhere from 17-20m I would guess.

Watching Clowe play his entire career in San Jose, I honestly believe the guy actually has a screw loose. If you go back and watch his biggest tantrums and freakouts over the years, you can see it in his face.

I have serious concern that Feaster will offer 4.5-5M for Bozak.
