very strange indeed. i would have rather gabby stayed and the coach went, and see if gabby wouldn't slump this badly in a more open system.

Miss the guy. Thought he played great for us, save this season. Guy's just been snake bitten. Hope he finds his game again in Columbus. Gonna miss seeing that sick wrister.

Gaborik and Dubinsky are playing well together. Good for them, I hope Gabs lights it up for them. Except against us.

Honestly, just proof that Gabby's problems were mental. He was in his own head and down on himself.

Same thing happened at the end of his time in MN.

Good for the guy though.

Love Gabby, but 3 periods of hockey is hardly proof of anything..most players have that adrenaline rush the first game with a new team after being traded (see our 3 players yesterday)

I don't disagree, the mental refresh got him over his slump.

Now I'm watching Gabby goals for us and getting sad

Lol good luck Gabby in Columbus, don't score 5 on Hank every time you come back to town, being as you'll be a division rival and we will see you more than once or twice a year.

I loved Gaborik as a player for us, he was exciting and basically carried our offense for the past 3 years. Some of you say you didn't take to him because he seemed to float and such, that's fair enough. I still loved the guy.

Let's hope Brassard, Dorsett and Moore are big pieces for us going forward and Clowe too!

I was basically doing the same thing as that kid. I was pretty damn distraught over it.

This ****in guy. I asked him one thing, not to do it against the Predators, and what does he do? He's still killing me.

Alright but now that the BS is over he score all he wants from here on out.

Damn, I don't think I've ever been this pissed over a trade in any sport. I lasted through the Austin Jackson trade, but I'm weeping like a little girl right now. I miss Gaborik already.

The irony of his first goal as a CBJ was that it was a crease tip battling and slipping behind Gaustad -- the type of dirty-area goal Torts would drool over.

Yeah, it's starting to sink in now, after seeing him score that goal in a Blue Jackets uniform.

He is one of the best players in the league at getting in position. He pretty much faked out Gaustad and went in all alone for the tap in. He may be a flawed player, but he is still a great one. He had 6 shots on net his last game a NYR.

He also got a ****ing Brass God.

Hurts seeing Gabby in a BJs uni, but I'm pretty happy about the return. I've moved on better than I thought I would.

He hardly even touched the puck and got credited for the goal, lets not make assumptions about anything. He will do the same as he did with us. He's Marian Gaborik. Best of luck Gabby! Thanks for everything...

I'll be more upset when I see him start sniping the top shelf again. The trade will hurt much more when/if he returns to top form.
