Burmistrov would give us yet another center with defensive chops. Flexibility at c? Though I like Stafford, I'll take it.

Burmistrov
Girgensons
Larsson
Kea
Catenacci
Schaller

Probably one of the few realistic trades in which I'd move Drew. Factor in some very good offensive players (Grigorenko, Hodgson, Armia, Ennis), and Regier's got this rebuild on the right track. It's happening under the radar.

Yep, flexibility in development as well. No need to rush someone into the role, as Burmi can already handle it.

Burmistrov has over double the hits Stafford does. It's not something people realize about his game.

Exactly. It allows you to move Girgensons/Larsson onto his wing to start. Organizational flexibility/versatility is important in the cap era. Adding Burmistrov would add that much more - just like bringing in Larssen did.

I would trade Staff and a pick for Burmistrov.

As would I. But I'm not GM. Yet.

Burmi played one hell of a game tonight, and got our only goal.

Again we'd prefer to trade picks for Stafford.

If Burmi was still available, we'd want a pick + Stafford. There's also the KHL factor for Burmi, but most say there's no truth to it.

Perhaps.

And a non slumping drew would be a welcomed addition to our second line - or anywhere on our offense.

Edit - see that has already been covered
