Didn't see this coming.
While you are right, teams have been trying this formula for the past 10 or so games, clog up the neutral zone while pounding them (the Oil) physically and ultimately they've done pretty good at adapting to their opposition while playing good hockey. I think tonight was more a case of tired legs and the streak simply running its course. Wouldn't read too much into it. They have to be better come Saturday though, no questions asked.

Btw that was atrocious, embarrassing no pride type coverage on the 4-0 goal by Gagner. Will never go far with Gagner as 2 C, unless he gets Lucic and Clowe flanking him. Yeah I said it.

Our offense played into their game. Defensive lapses cost us. Schnieder with a bounce back game and some brutal penalties that could have gone either way early really set the tone.

Really good that we weren't buyers at the deadline.

Many players suck on this team.

Textbook recipe to beat the Oilers.

Take away time and space and physically punish them.

A whole lot of what they would see in the playoffs.

This team needs to get bigger...it is a year away still.

So...we weren't in this game at any point. We got dominated from start to finish. Canucks played playoff hockey today, good on them. I hope this teaches a lesson to the boys that the stretch drive and playoffs won't be easy. Take your thumps and lumps and play through them.

Gotta lose sometime, can't go 12-0 with a loss the team can stay a little grounded.

5 games in 7 nights?

I'm not mad at all.

The boys were tired. They deserve an off night.

I know you don't want to hear from a Canuck fan but I for one hope you guys still make the post season. Fun team to watch and could really put a scare into a team like the Hawks!

Oilers looked tired and the Canucks were a pretty motivated group tonight.

Meh, i expected an outcome like this. The Oilers aren't ready to compete in a game like this and there were some warning signs of very loose defensive play in the Calgary games that were bound to get exposed by the Canucks.
I'm not even mad. I'm still very happy with the overall progress of the team.

Also, We have a non existent zone break out. Off the glass and pray it lands on an Oilers stick.

Six years out of the playoffs + 30th, 30th, 29th over the last three years. Oilers got booed off home ice against the Blues and then lost their next game in Nashville. People got pissed off and began paper bagging their avatars. Oilers were undefeated with them until tonight.

THat was a ******** game, refs killed all our momentum with those ******** calls in the first.

Cory Schnieder made some good stops though, he was the big difference, he lets one of those early chances in and its a different story.

Habby played well for most of the game, gave us a chance.
