I cannot stand him and Garrett. Cox only wants to be friends when you talk about the Leafs . I have no idea why but he despises the Oilers...

would you like your team's management to go after ryane clowe in the offseason?

Anybody have the faceoff stats for today? Felt like we were getting dominated.

Can someone please post on what purpose Shawn Horcoff has with this team?

The Oilers won't be a contender until his contract is off the books.

Crappy effort... not helped by the crappy reffing.

Oil deserved the loss but the Nucks and the Nucks fans once again show why they'll always be losers and never win anything when it really counts.

Horcoff was 13-5 winning 72% of his faceoffs.

RNH was 2-10 for 16%.

Its just not STL.. CBJ, PHO and LA also won... It'll come down to the wire but a couple more losses now and we could be back in the basement with DAL, CAL and COL ..

VAN played physical and we had no match for it... Fistric and Smithson should be dresses for next game.. This lineup is good for run and gun but not when opposition is taking a run at our guys.

I took the liberty of a little stab at him for that.

Horc was hardly the problem and his contract is not stopping us from acquiring anyone else. Pretty random post considering there were others who should be blamed more.

You have a short memory...whats the teams record with Horcoff out of the lineup?

Horcoff is a difference maker with this team.

out worked and reactive.
this team plays timid against "better" teams.

not in "playoff mode" at all and it cost them huge points

Tired team, Nucks wanted revenge. Great goalie, deep, tough D. No surprise at the loss.

I know Krueger didn't want to tinker with the lineup when they won 5 straight, but you have to figure Smyth would need a break with the tight schedule, nevermind that he's playing center.

Can't see why sitting him and playing Lander would have hurt.

i'm hoping this was sarcastic?

We are at the point now where thats the only thing that will help us move forward.

More young hotshots are not going to help this team learn to win, or break into the league at 18 and be a physical force.

We need to start attracting these guys asap..

not my money so his contract shouldnt be an issue for anyone but Mr Katz.
We have 12M+ in cap space this season so we could pay Horcoff 10M for all I care..

Thats always been the recipe to beat a small puck possession team like the Oilers. This team isn't experienced enough or gritty enough to fight through it yet.
I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying, it was obvious the boys had tired legs and were not on their game... they made the Nuckleheads look better then they were. Easily. It was an awful game for them. Chalk up the L, move on to LA Saturday and show us you can bounce back.

We all know the problems with this team, what they're lacking etc., but I'm over it. Can't do nothing else but cheer them on till the finish and hope for some playoff hockey. Keep the entertaining times rolling. Worry about the rest later.

Seriously, they win 5 in a row, they lose one game on a back to back on the road and are one point out, and playoffs are out of reach??

Also remember St. Louis having more games also means more games in less nights, its gonna be hard for them too.

Anyone else watching the sportsnet highlights right now? Guy just went through a whole game talking about the wrong teams, hilarious.

I don't know why on the back to back, Kruger didn't sit Smyth, I mean honestly he would probably play better with some rest.
