I hope we're not getting Barkov then because I'd rather keep Galchenyuk.

I never said I would take Duclair before Dauphin, however I do expect him to get drafted before Dauphin. A much better skater, although both are undersized. Dauphin is a smart player..he'll be a very good junior. Will he be a good pro? The old size/skating combo is a concern.and will affect his ranking. Someone might hope he does some growing and his skating significantly improves and takes a flyer on him in the second, but this is a fairly deep draft. It would surprise me to see Dauphin picked in the top 40 of this draft.

That was Jay Feaster though...granted, Jay Feaster is likely to have a top 4 pick this year...hmmm...

Then again, TB won the cup in part because of that trade, so you can't totally rip Feaster.

Nashville is about to lose again. Really hoping that pick is around 40.

I can just imagine the projectile vomit coming from your mouth if the Habs picked Duclair while passing on de la Rose and Hagg.

They must have just edited it. He was NOT on the East one earlier.

They also talked about it on the prospects board: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...php?p=63314229

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought their western scout sucks.

His reasoning for us picking Duclair is enough for me to want to kick him in the nuts.

If the pick is at #28, for example, would it really be that bad?

If players like DLR and Hagg are stillt here, hell yes. There's about 50 guys I'd pick before Duke.

His bust potential is just waaaay too high for the first round IMO. I understand swinging for the fences...but he's a third rounder as far as I'm concerned. I'd be content with him as our second round pick, but not within the top 45 or so. As far as the Remparts go he's behind Erne and Sorensen for me, and Sorensen isn't close to a first rounder himself.

It would especially be bad if Duclair was picked and DLR and Hagg are free.

I could envision that happening at the Montreal draft table, when the pick was "From Quebec Remparts the Montreal Canadiens choose Anthony Manth er er Duclair."

Never mind the Western Scout, the Habs Rep.that srewed up picking Adam Erne and picked Duclair has to make it out of the building alive.I think the western scout thought Anthony Mantha was a Rempart and screwed the last names up.

There are a lot more than Hagg and DLR to choose from when compared to Duclair's actual draft position should be,for my thinking he would have to wait until after the Habs 3rd round choices are made.At the 6th round Clapperton would be my pick before Dukey and in the 7th round Gabriel Slight to take care of "Clapperton the little man that can." They will make a great 4th line with Whitey in a few years.Duclair nobody has heard from him after being passed over in three drafts.

Not only those 2...Zykov, Petan, Fucale, Burakowsky, etc.

It screams of the classic ''Give the Habs a french guy'' pick in a mock. Nothing else.

Is there really that much of a difference between a guy picked at 28 and 'say 40? I don't think so, personally, especially with this kind of draft. Thing is I'm fairly certain some on here would be fine with him getting picked up at 40, but not 30th overall.

That said, I agree with you guys, I'd be disappointed to see us snag Duclair with our first, maybe not as much as some on here though. He has an interesting package, whether you like it or not. Lots of speed, and a nice touch around the net.

Unless he has a monster playoff I could see Duclair sliding to 50-65 range.

And he would be a steal at that point... Duclair is a better prospect then given credit for here. His speed and skill are above average.
