Hoping Zucc can net a goal or two tonight. Don't expect a blowout again, but we still should have a decent chance of coming away with the win if we play with the same energy as last game.

Is it definitely Fleury in net? I didn't think they would ever let us see him again.

Can't expect a win against a team that looked like a dead dog two nights ago?

I certainly expect more of a fight, but a win, absolutely. Pens are trending downward with the injuries and new old faces.

Also the idea of how awesome a Clowe-Richards-Gaborik line would look has been stuck in my head for the past two days, so here's hoping Brass and Moore and great games again. I'd like to see a goal from at least players from 3 different lines- if we're sacrificing Gabby for depth, let's see that depth play a role consistently.

Yep. If we see the same team that came out against the Pens on Wednesday, even if we lose it'll be a good game.

This team is now much more of a "Torts team" than we've had on the ice at any point this season. So coach, show us that you're worth it, because management is clearly behind you.

The Islanders are ahead, are they really the best team in NY?

Can't happen, this game is critical.

this is the kind of team you have to HIT HARD to beat. if you dont wallop them in their own zone with bone crushing hits, they will transition quickly to offense and slaughter you on the scoreboard. make thing think long and hard about going into corners with you, if you can do that, you can get the cycle going. if you can get the cycle going, they are defending instead of attacking.

On top of this, agitate the **** out of Malkin. He'll take retaliatory penalties. Not to mention guys like Iginla and Morrow will want to prove to their teammates they're going to stick up for them. Someone should be up Malkin's ass all night.

Eh, without Martin and Letang their transition game is blunted quite a bit, but yeah the key is not letting Malkin's line get going and to control the puck more

That's Gaborik's stat from Wed vs. NAS. Derick should do better!

Can't wait till game start. I also can't recall last time I was so anxious.

I have a feeling Hagelin does something tonight. He's been relatively quiet the last couple of weeks. Don't want to call a score, will be happy with any point we take out of this.

LGR. Not entirely sure I can catch this game, my social life has one of its rare appearances this night.

Hah... me too. I'm starting to just treat the PGTs when we win like a comedy blog roll ("CHAMPIONSHIP HERE WE COME! JAM RULEZ! NEED MOAR JAM") and when we lose like some dark satire ("LIFE IS OVER, WE SUCK. FIRE TORTS. GET RID OF THE JAM. BUYOUT EVERYONE.").

Excitement is great (and disappointment is normal). But keeping it in perspective can prevent huge let downs.

I predicted (somewhat tongue in cheek) a while back that the Rangers would sweep this home and home with the Pens. And I didn't even know that Crosby would be out. But either way -- 1 down, 1 to go!

I'm anxious to see if the Rangers can pull off a solid win again to prove that last game's play was not just a false-hope fluke.
