Really hope this isn't one of those "let's play down to our opponents level" sort of games from the Canucks that we've become accustomed to in the regular seasons past.

Don't give a defeated Flames team any hope in this one, get on them early and get the first goal, take the air out of their tires.

Dominant win please.

Hitting the ice early, nice to see from Kassian.

Hope to see Kassian get a few good shifts in early so AV has enough confidence in him to keep his ice time up to 15 minutes or more. I'd like to see him given a chance on the PP with the Sedins, because Burr and Hansen didn't do much to deserve it last game.

Have to win this one. CGY will come out with purpose after being blown out (I'd think), but that team has been gutted. Looking [way] ahead, our last homestand before the playoffs is going to be pretty huge: DET-CHI-ANA.

One another note - Henrik is currently sitting on 599 career assists. 1 more and he becomes only the 76th player all-time to break the 600 assist mark.

Calgary plays tonight. I hope they give it their all, and fly in tomorrow ragged.

He's got a goal and sparked his confidence. I hope to hell he plays like a man possessed and forcing AV's hand.

I still wish they would put Kassian with the Sedins.
Spread the talent around, put Burrows with Kesler or Roy when Kesler returns.

If that works out it would really be awesome, but we need to make sure that the first line is as good as it can be (meaning that the twins aren't held back, or their cycles aren't wasted/not executed because they're playing with the wrong guy).

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Higgins - Roy - Kesler
Raymond - Schroeder - Burrows
Jensen - Lapierre - Hansen

Now that is offense. With how dominate Higgins and Roy were, they can't be split up and I really want to see them try Kesler on the wing.

So does Sestito or Pinner sit for Weise? I like Tostito's size, but Pinner is a more mobile. Neither of them has stood out particularly on either the offensive or defensive side of the puck, and they both have had some pretty nice hits recently. I do like having Sestito and Kassian both in the line-up for toughess.

I would sit Pinizzotto. He and Weise basically fulfill the same function; Sestito is the better hitter and has the size to tangle with some heavies, too.

EDIT: Looks like that's the case, too.

Dale Weise skating on the #Canucks fourth line with Lapierre and Sestito while Raymond is with Ebbett and Kassian.

Hey Zombo, our record is actually 20-11-6. Not a big deal but just thought I'd point it out.

And great news re: Raymond and Weise.

I approve of this decision. Agree that Weise and Pinizzotto are pretty much interchangable and I do like having Sestito's size there in case we need it. That could be a heavy hitting line in the playoffs.

Think he's still going to be skating on his own for a couple of days. I really, really hope they don't rush him back.

Especially with Roy on the Canucks, Keslord should take his time.
