Have to remember Frattin has had two knee procedures in less than a year, they take there toll and take time to heal and for the player to be confident that he's 100%

Frattin is dangerously close to the press box.

Frattin is going to be key for us down the stretch, goal-less in 11, not playing well at all. Time to step it up from him and everyone us here. This week is going to be huge. Although two big wins tomorrow and Monday will go a long way into cementing our place in the standings a bit. This is where I look at the schedule and think to myself, if we're going to lose at least get a point! We play NJ and NY quite a bit coming up both teams behind us.

I have no idea why Kostka is still on the team. He had an average first game, and has not done anything special. Last night he was absolutely awful, he makes more mistakes than Gardiner and at least one goal last night was his fault. Carlyle is a good coach, but don't know what he is doing with Kostka and why Gardiner is not playing...

Does anybody remember when Gardiner stopped a 2 on 1 with Stamkos and St.Louis?

In one goal game like last night I'm sure we could use Colborne... Also as much as I like Hamilton the guy is worst than Komarov offensively.
Komarov was still injured last night and not ready. Once Lupul was injured, Orr/McClaren took turns being cycled into that empty RW spot.

Yeah I remember that, it was pure hustle and speed in his part. I don't think they even got a shot off on that play.

If Kostka plays tomorrow, he won't be playing for the Leafs, he'll be playing for New Jersey

We need Kessel. Plain and simple. He hasn't scored in 8 games. We need him to step up to win these big games.

We need our boys to step up in place of lupul. Kessel needs break his goal scoring drought aside from manufacturing scoring chances for others.

Mac, Grabo, Bozak and hopefully JVR keeps moving his legs.

Because teams don't win by creating chances, right?

Kessels fine. Hes no longer the goal scorer on his line. Hes the set up man, and developing into an extremely good one.

Seriously, hes 23rd in league scoring. Weve got nothing to complain about.

Don't waste your breath buddy lol. I'm tired of doing this for too long. He's also rounding his defense but hey he's still getting crucified lol

What I'd try:

JVR-Colborne-Kessel
MacA-Kadri-Kulemin
Grabovski-Bozak-Komarov
Frattin-Mcclement-Orr
Mclaren

I don't think we need two goons for NJ.

It was funny how certain people on here were blaming Kessel for the 4th goal, even though it was 100% Kostka's fault.

That's all nice, but maybe he should start burying chances when he's got a wide open net. He's missed quite a few of those lately. That's what I can complain about. Not bashing him, but we could have used those goals.

McClement – Grabovski – Komarov

Hamilton – Colborne - Orr

Gunnarsson – Phaneuf

Fraser – Franson

Gardiner/Liles – O’Byrne
