Everyone didn't find it funny. Apparently the Lakers were watching the ceremony in the locker room and Kobe got up and turned the TV off when the chant started.

if i'm reading schedules right which could always be wrong:

6 Golden State
4/8 games left vs teams in playoffs (including Utah & Lakers)

7- Houston
3/8 games left vs teams in playoffs (including Lakers)

8- Utah
4/7 games left vs teams in playoffs (including GS)

9-Lakers
5/7 games left vs teams in the playoffs (including GS & Houston)

10 Dallas
3/8 games left vs teams in playoffs

That Lakers~Houston game is the last day of the season. Gonna be interesting.

^Didn't people in ATL also cheer Kobe when the Lakers came in more than the Hawks?

Also, I just saw the Lakers screwed up the Shaq retirement jersey. Like how do you do that?

Celtics clinch a playoff spot.. I don't expect them to make it deep at all though, the Knicks are on a roll

Howard with 314/646 has missed 332 free throws this season.

Nash with 3038/3360 has missed 322 free throws in 17 seasons.

Just found that kind of funny, especially after Dwight apparently didn't want any help from Nash.

Dwight's free throws all look like they have no chance. It's like he's just hoping to hit something and get a lucky bounce.

"Initial exam suggests likely torn ACL for Denver's Danilo Gallinari, source tells Y! "Ligament was loose," source says. MRI Friday."

from Woj, ouch, that's a tough injury so close to the playoffs. Also that comment from the source just makes me shudder

Terrible news. Nuggets can recover, but its clearly not ideal.

Need a healthy Lawson, first and foremost. Gallo can be 'replaced' (I hate writing this since he is a great player and hopefully isn't done) by Wilson Chandler, who (imo) is better. The trick will be replacing Wilson Chandlers role off the bench. Corey Brewer will need to step along with Evan Fournier (and maybe one of Anthony Randolph and Jordan Hamilton).

Javale McGee will need to blossom if we are going to be conteders.

Gallo is officially out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

At least he'll be back before D-rose

I think Mike Miller could start on a few teams. Would probably be a very good bench player on most teams as well.

At this point, I expect to see every teams in the East that are in a playoffs spot clinch by the end of next week.

Hadn't been watching very closely the NBA season this year but jeez

The East is still garbage ,, 8th seed wont even be above .500

Heat should walk thru the East on way to finals

I don't remember the last time the 8th seed had a better record than the one from the West. Probably way back in the Bulls era. It's been so long now. I don't know why the East continues to be inferior.

Knicks score season high 125 on the Refs and have 50 wins first time in 13 years. Pretty good season. Wonder what Steve Nash is thinking.
