I wasn't able to check out the Oil Kings game last night, but Ewanyk and Moroz each had a goal in a 4-1 win over Med Hat.

Apparently Gernat and Musil had solid games too.

The whole third line of Ewanyk, Moroz and Kulda had a very solid night.

Great article about Kessy. Would not be surprised to see him in OKC should the Blazers be kicked from the WHL proceedings.

Zharkov got an assist in the first period, then in the third he got a minor for boarding, then consequently got 5 and 10 after he fought Sudbury dman Corey Genovese.

Zharkov drops the gloves with Genovese. Zharkov loses his jersey in the fight.

Like this prospect a lot.. Probably our best forward prospect who hasn't suited up for the big club yet.. (Ruling out Harti, Lander etc)
Should be an NHLer one day.. has size +speed (sorta) +skill

Zharkov is the definition of a raw "project" prospect.. has all the tools, just needs to put it all together and a few years to polish and improve the rough spots in his game. Could legitimately easily be one of the steals of that draft or may never make it to the NHL.

Zharkov is a lot like Marincin, in that he's a big body with some great raw skills, but he's a boom bust kind of prospect. In all honesty, his ceiling could be as a second line scorer, but he could also amount to nothing at all. I think he makes it to the NHL one day based on his skills and his size. Will he become a regular? Who knows. He's got a ton of potential.

Another goal tonight for Kessy gives him 9 goals and 2 assists in 9 playoff games. That puts him 2nd in playoff goal scoring behind Rattie - very impressive performance so far for him!

I don't disagree with what you say but I will point out that the "but he could also amount to nothing at all" pretty much applies to 85% of the players taken in the draft. I may even be overly generous in this respect. Basically any player outside of the top 10 or so has a reasonable chance of amounting to nothing. By the third round the probabilty is very high.

Quinnipiac beat St. Cloud State 4-1.

Kellen Jones with 1g.

They'll play Yale for the NCAA Championship on Saturday night.

Any video? And by "lit up" do you mean by a hit or in a fight?

EDIT-Found some video, he got hit high and hard.

That's tough, hopefully he's ok, but that was pretty high, that hit.

Here's a stream to the Quinnipiac/Yale NCAA final: http://atdhe.so/watch.php?id=658860

The Jones brothers are on Quinnipiac's 1st line.

Kellen = #15.
Connor = #10.

Good to see so many of our prospects go deep into the playoffs. Zharkov, Moroz, Ewanyk, the Jones', Kessy and Gernat are all still playing, while Marincin and co should holpefully make the cut in the AHL.

Quinnipiac vs Yale is on right now on TSN2. Jones is looking pretty good so far in a scoreless game.

Zharkov assists on the game winner as Belleville comes back to win 3-2 over Barrie in game 1.

Just saw that the Bulls won tonight. Does anyone know if Zharkov was playing, or is he concussed after that dirty elbow in the last game of the last series?
