thinkin' the same - glad i've stayed up late for once !

of course, it's not "fantastic hockey" entertaining, just "they don't completely suck" entertaining - and of course, they have such a good second period record so far this season, too, bring it on....

Myers played his best period of the year. He looked confident.

Just a thought, some guys need people to move out of the way to blossom. I've seen athletes be extremely timid and you don't expect much out of them, then some older guys move on and they blossom when they feel they have some ownership of the team.

Maybe, I don't think that's it. I think pulling him back from being offensively involved has helped him a bit more...I guess Ruff was trying to make him the next Brian Campbell.

Yep, you, StopWinnin, and another poster that shall remain nameless are the three posters who I thought would love to start that thread on the main board. Go for it.

I agree with the thoughts that Myers looked good, a little sloppy in our zone but good in transition and in the offensive zone.

Yup, he has zero hockey sense or anticipation.

Seems like he's really trying to fire the puck, too. Actually showing determination. WOHOO!

Always eyeballs his intent, too. It's like anti-anticipation.

So it was a joke to start the thread, but only me and two other posters would do it according to you. So basically you are taking some sort of weird, backhanded insult towards us. You are the coolest poster ever.

I like this version of Myers. Can every game be the first game post-trade deadline?

There was one derp moment from Myers turning the puck over below the goal line...but otherwise he has definitely been playing well tonight.

Ya, he's Tyler Calder tonight.

unrelated, I wish Stafford knew he's not the playmaker, and that he should dish and go to the net. Maybe he doesn't want anything to do with the front.

I think a season or two of no expectations during a rebuild could do wonders for the kids confidence.
