I normally get a burger... but there's no way I'd call it "good".

They don't give quality or quantity, it's really a lose/lose situation. Also just up the road from my Cage is another placed called Le Manoir and the food is fair, hit or miss depending on what you get but way better value for your buck.

To add insult to injury they have far more TV's, better TV's, everything about it is better tbh even the crowd.
West islander eh ? I go to manoir for UFC. Prices for beer are dece. Prices for food is good too, I've only had their burgers though, and was disappointed. They don't season the meat for ****, it's really bland. Maybe the other stuff is good though, idk.

As for Cage.. popcorn, beer and appetizers are the only way to go. Get something deep fried or battered, because anything that requires a minimum of preparation is always a major fail.

EDIT: Oh yeah and to whoever said the chicken quesidillas in this thread you must be ****ing crazy. I had those last time I went and had to drown them in salt and pepper and ask for extra sauce because they tasted like cardboard

I've enjoyed the club wrap at the cage. My favorite thing to do is wait for the habs to score 5 goals then show up for the next game with all my buddies and order a few pitcher, collect our 8 free wings and eat free popcorn while watching the game. We used to do this all the time and the waitresses would give us attitude and would be constantly checking in on us annoyingly to see if we wanted to order more. I mean, we're paying for the beer, now go away and let us enjoy the game!

I went with a friend for one of the Super Sunday Habs games + Super Bowl afterward. We had the chicken and rib combo and it was chicken and ribs. We were there from after the hockey game until after the football game (6 hours?)

Funny thing was folks complained about the price. Our waitress must have been messed up. She got us our food hot despite the crowd. We went through at least 6 pitchers of beer over the course of the long day. Our total bill came to $72 which seemed low to me. I felt I came out way ahead that day

The more I think about it the more i'm dissapointed with this restaurent.I should have gone to Baton Rouge yesterday for sure.I mean how can they charge you that much and no being able to make better ribs than I do at my house , which is average. It is laughable , how hard is it to make good food? Anyway they lost everyone of us yesterday for a long time , they wont cry about it but even the ambiance is not THAT amazing.Definately not worth the price.

Eat ton of popcorn, I've managed to fill myself up with that one time, it's probably the best thing on the menu in my opinion.

You could also go for fried appetizer, they're not that bad.

I believe Cage aux Sports mainly live on their marketing...cannot think the restaurant would survive in, let's say US or Ontario.

Someone should send this entire thread to Cage Aux Sports management. Although I guess they wouldn't change anything if people keep paying to go there.

they only survive because of the habs. If by some miracle the habs stopped allowing them to air games, they'd go under in a few years.

Go to a Boston Pizza if you want comparable food (better quality/more choices) and cheaper prices than La Cage.

My gf is a waitress there and at first I was skeptical and thought it was garbage like La Cage but I was surprised. Ate like 4-5 times there and the food was good all the times and less expensive than La Cage.

My 2 cents.

EDIT; rofl didnt see dat necrobump

La Cage is the only place I can go in my area to watch the game with my family, because my kids are under 18 - so all bars are out. We're in the West Island so it's either the Cage in Point-Claire or St-Laurent. The atmosphere is fun. You'll be okay if you keep the food cheap and simple - nachos or wings, a chicken leg, a baked potato. Kids usually have pasta and don't complain. Expecting good ribs will leave you disappointed. Service has always been fine.

Sans enfants, my favourite spot is Station des sports.
