The first two periods were about even, the 3rd and OT was total domination by the Rangers. Fleury stole this one.

The main positive I take from this game is that we had three lines that all were serious offensive threats, if we can keep this up we'll win a lot of games.

1 point up on Devils with ROW advantage, 1 game up on Fishsticks with season series advantage.

the nhl and refs need to realize that when they pull this crap games can get out of hand quickly.

This game almost did and the refs looked lost and out of control right before we tied it.

The shootout order should be...

Zuccarello, Nash, Stepan. I think Nash would benefit the most out of having one guy go before him so he can think about his move and get a read on the goalie. Book is out on Cally, dude needs to learn a new move.

Oh and for everyone wanting retribution on Cooke, the next time we play the Pens (if it happens) will be the playoffs. Surely Dorsett will be back in the lineup for that game, which hopefully doesn't take place until the Eastern Conference Semis.

Disappointed in the result, but happy with the way we played. Really controlled the pace and looked way closer to the dominating team we were from last year.

VERY annoyed at how classless and dirty the Penguins guys are. Cooke baiting the bench, Cooke slashing Hank, Dupuis running Del Zotto. Do the refs start the game giving Malkin a 5 penalty buffer zone before actually calling one on him? How many times does he get to spear and whack at Hank when the puck is in his glove?

Just a lot of ****. A lot of blown calls, a few on us went unnoticed but far more went unnoticed against Pitt...prime example: On PP in third Zucc's stick gets slashed in half? No call? Wtf.

Never wanna see anyone get hurt, but it's about time Neal got put on his ass. He's probably one of the dirtiest players in the league out of guys who you wouldn't expect if from. BTW, anyone else notice, the move Del Zotto pulled when he hit Neal (stop short, jump into forechecker with back) is the exact same thing Neal does all the time when chasing down pucks in the corner? I've literally seen Neal pull that exact hit every single time I've watched a Penguins game.

Can someone ****ing write Torts a mail to tell him to change up the SO lineup? We've been mediocre this year. he's made simple god damn counterintuitive choices and mistakes to put us back a few extra poitns from SOs. With the best goaltender in the world and the best in the shootout business, we can't be with a ****** 2-4 record, 1-4?

The team looked solid.
And fun to watch, which is pretty important too.

Screw that. I hope the Isles beat them in the first round

Oh come on you can't blame torts for the lineup he put out in the shootout. Nash and Zucc were the first two and they are both great at shootouts...Callahan 3rd and he's been tremendous in them this year as well.

Another good effort. Fleury's 180 from last game was the difference. If they play like this the rest of the year we're going to get to watch some awesome hockey.

Rangers played well, not disappointed at all.

Penguin announcers are literally the worst thing in the world.

And I had a good chuckle on my way over to this thread seeing a thread on the main boards for MDZ's hit on Neal. Keep grasping for straws.

We're getting there. I like what I see. Brassard is omniscient. Del Zotto was a horrible, evil human being tonight and I loved it. Nash is clutch. Boyle is playing great.

Stepan was too cute at times, but I digress.

Got 3/4 points against the Pens, hard to be mad about that, though every point counts. MAF was on fire also, the Rangers could have had 2 or 3 goals if he were playing like a human being. Lastly, it was awesome to seem a hard Rangers team that didn't back away from any sort of hostility.

The refusal to call the Penguins on those blatant hacks was a conscious decision to allow them.

That is what I find indefensible. The NHL does zilch, nada, nothing to discipline their officials.
Disgusting. They should be disciplined at a review.
Skating to a goaltender and slashing him on the hands, in isolation, with no call??
