NJ is 2-4-4 in their last 10.

5 points back, in 9th place.

Pretty much a "should" and "must" win.

Clearly the 10 games Lupul has played are the reason we are in 5th

That's no discredit to Lups, I love him, however we will be fine without him

We better win Saturday...I'm starting to get scared that the Flyers and Rangers are surging.

Is Kovalchuk still injured?

agree

I hope he stays on the ice longer and practice some shooting. He has been shooting wide trying to pick corners or taking a Jason Blake shot. Needs to get his precision right especially being a sniper

Come on Kadri. Honestly he's the guy I trust to get us some points here.

Hopefully Lupul isn't out for a long time, but can't worry about that now. Have to win the games ahead. Can't afford to start sliding at this point.

its a team sport, kessel is just 1 of the players on the ice. its not all about him

That doesn't give him a reason to not score in 8 games when he's our best player. If we slide and Kessel produces almost nothing, all fingers will be pointed at him.

Interactif would need a stiff drink to cope with that though.

did you watch the last game? he missed an open net

and quite a few games earlier not a great result

timing a shot with an angle is an art Snipers are well attuned too. Shot should be good enough so that one get at least get a rebound...what a ponit of JVR crashing the net when there is no rebound...oh and yea that is team work

ask rocket, he wants me to relay this to every one.
kessel is just another player in the leaf line up. if he scores ok , if not to bad, its the team overall that has to perform.

Agree with this, has the stuff to be Lupul lite, JVR and especially Kessel must score.

Gotta say, it is very exciting when every game is such a big game. Have not felt like this in years. I don't know if the Leafs have played meaningful hockey this late in the season since 06-07.
