I'm enjoying Ranger games again.

You know Ballsma had them gunning for us after that last game and Fluky played like it was Game 7. I believe The pens were on a mission tonight and we STILL took them to OT and could have won that game.

We could be for real...

Staying tuned

Holy **** are people really getting on Boyle right now? He played a very solid game. What is there to complain about?!

Question is, are the Hurricanes going to pack in the season?

They are somehow only 4 points out of the division lead. The division leader has fewer points that the Devils who as of now, are out of the playoffs.

I could see a scenario where the Rangers finish 9th with 3-4 more points that the SE division "winner". Somehow, that seems par for the course.

That being said this new version of the team has a lot more push back than last week's version and we more than less outplayed the opposition--well the Devils could say the same about their game against the Bruins last night. Difference is they got 0 points in the standings and we got 1.

In any case my hero of the game is MDZ. His elbow was another one the referees missed. It was a bit sneaky--coming on the heels of Boyle's retaliatory hit on Kunitz. Just the kind of hit that so many of the Penguins players specialize in. Turn around being fair play in this instance. Dupuis then took a cheap shot that the referees could hardly not penalize which led to our tying the game.
Agreed. I'm glad MDZ did what he did. I'm not happy Neal got hurt, although he's become significantly more ******* than he was in Dallas since joining the Pens (coincidence? probably not.) but the Pens are doing some goon **** and so MDZ says he's not gonna take it.

To blackaces and whoever else was *****ing at my lamenting, with games tomorrow for the Canes, Caps, Jets, Flyers, Islanders, Devils, Rangers, we could have really used the extra point.

Clowe has 2 goals for the entire year.

But it's the things off the puck that he does well. His line played fantastic tonight.

My God, people. Stop looking at this game black/white.

We were CREATIVE with the puck tonight. Our passing, movement, and onslaught in their zone was awesome. At times I was wondering if we were on a powerplay with the amount of zone and offensive time in their zone.

They're tied for being the BEST team in the league. And we dominated them and took 3/4.

Stop. Nit-picking.

Hank was upset about POS Cooke's slash. Will anything happen of it? I guess Hank could get a fine.

No kidding we could've used to the extra point.

Doesn't mean this Rangers team didn't look absolutely fantastic tonight.

Looks to be blending with Brassard nicely as well.

Don't get me wrong Boyle has had his poor games this year, but it seems like if we don't win people just project everything on him. And if Fleury doesn't rob him in the 3rd he has the game winning goal tonight.

No. We'll throw out a million different sayings on how spectacular Hank is.

We need to do that tonight. MAF stood on his head.
If he keeps doing it to the same player, at some point you want that very same player to keep shooting it.

Seriously, in those positions Boyle was in, there are at least 10-12 players I would have loved to trade places with him.

We'll need to whip Boyle for playing awesome.
I'm not disagreeing that they had opportunities to shoot the puck rather than pass it, but one of those shots from Stepan was probably the highlight reel for save of the game.

What does that have anything to do with it? What the **** have you seen this season from Boyle that has made you say he's a good shooter?

You have to play the game to understand that?

No. You couldn't. It is why you're not in the NHL.
I didn't say I could score, but there definitely players on this team that I find to have more of a lethal shot than Boyle.

..Oh, how about that crosscheck to the back of Kunitz? I still think he sold it but there was a crosscheck to the back nonetheless. How many times has he also taken dumb penalties at the worst times?

This post times 100.

We were consistently making **** happen. If Fleury doesn't have his best game of the season we win this won by more than a few goals.

Michael DelZotto is evolving into a world class NHL D-Man right before our eyes. Expecting BIG things from this kid. He is going to start finding the twine soon too. Look out!

No reason for this team not to make the playoffs, but they have to finish the job of getting there.

No more games vs Pitt, Bos, Ott, Habs, Caps.

The Rangers played well, and deserved the point they got.

But

One big difference between this game and the last one was NYR net presence. Rangers simply were not getting enough bodies in front of the net nor driving to the crease. Something they did a ton of last game.

Rangers can't start reverting back to a perimeter shooting team.
