None of my equipment fits me anymore

I play road hockey weekly during the summer though, I wish you guys would host one of those.

Evidently no one seems to want to make the trek out to Poco.

Ice, roller, road, ball. I'm down for anything quite honestly.

If enough people showed up I would absolutely be down for roller, road, ball, even having to go all the way to Poco.

I could even bring 5+ people, to be honest.

It would be too much of a task for me to relearn how to skate + buy all the equipment unless I am looking to join a beer league next year, but I was planning on joining a ball hockey beer league to save on expenses. I am not exactly rich..

Pshttttttttt, half of us don't know how to skate and the other half have incomplete gear. Someone showed up in sweat pants the first time lol.

I could get at least 5 people down on any given day I think. Pretty slim pickings these days though for whatever reason...I theorize there is a growing rift between my core group of friends due to competitive nature and personality. Not exactly a tested hypothesis though, I have no problem with any of them myself. I digress...where we play 4 on 4 + 2 goalies is ideal. If you ever have something in mind PM me or something. If it's sunny I should have at least three. If it's a good day and a weekend I could get anywhere between 5-10.

Not to hi-jack the thread though. Carry on.

Once again, accounted for. I knew that would be the only thing people would remember me for the first time.

I guess you weren't there the second time when I scrounged up a full set of gear.

Hopefully everybody that went both times remember my Corey Perry SO move as much as the sweatpants. I need to retire those sweats permanently, I used them for work once and got black tar **** all over them.

Should I take this to mean you're in?

Ideally we'll get about 20 skaters for this, at a cost of $10-$15 per person. Lunch/drinks to follow upstairs! So if you want to come, just say yea and I'll put you on the list.

I was there the second time also, noticed those beauts didn't make an appearance lol.

The 1st time, was my 1st "game", and I had never worn full gear before. Didn't even know to velcro my socks to my shorts and used like 10 yards of tape on my shin guards. Helmet didn't fit right, I was just a wobbling mess.

Im definitely in for round 3!

The upside to this is I become both better at ice hockey and become better at remembering names...which I am still terrible at.

I remember last time I was scrambling last minute in the dressing room making sure all of my equipmunk was right. I had never gone full gear before that. Never was much of an ice hockey player but I enjoy myself more each time I'm out there.

Me explaining it:

"Come on, kaje320 it's just a little *soundeffect* there..."
"To be honest, I just learnt this myself like 20 minutes ago...yeah..."

I can stop much better on my right foot than my left it's comical in a peewee sense.

The family and I will be down in Vancouver for about three weeks in July. Guessing from the 10th until about the end of the month.

8 Rinks hasn't posted its availablility yet, but I would be shooting to rent ice on either the 20th or the 27th.

So...who would be up for it?

For goalies - right of first refusal goes to Hank4Hart and mossey3535 as they were our tendies last time.
Can only do Mid April to June.

Gonna be away from Vancouver all of July.

Yeah once upon a time I could round up 20 people in 3 hours for a game, now, not so much.

Has a lot to do with the fact that I am no longer fresh out of high school with absolutely nothing to do. The majority of my friends have jobs, girlfriends, school, etc.

If not I usually dump 'em cuz they're bringin' down my flo'...

I'll show myself out.

I'm still relatively new to the lower mainland, but I'm armed with a UPass. I imagine I can? You tell me haha. I can bring a couple buddies who are from PoCo originally who can probably give me a ride anyways.
