I really hope Kuzya signs with the Caps when the khl season ends next year.
He can under the mutual agreement contract termination (not happening) or player-intended buyout (may happen).

Caps are a special team. How many other clubs have the likes of Schilling, Schmidt, Kundratek and Orlov in the farm with JACK HILLEN playing 20 minutes per game?

Kuzya or Traktor wouldn't do both imo.

He promised to come to the NHL but only after his khl deal, true?

Yeah, but if they win it all (and I don't think it'll happen, Dynamo is the best team right now by a mile) he may change his mind.

I wish he would. He would be a nice asset on center or on 1LW.

So why is Jack Hillen getting hate?

He can't put up the points sure, but he's not so bad defensively. Excellent shot blocker.

I'm more worried about Green's defensive zone coverage, but he makes up for his mistakes usually with goals.

Because he gets pushed around so easily and takes dumb penalties very often.

And was watching hockey on two biggest goal the Caps allowed in the past week - OTGWG vs Philly and late goal by the Isles. And when 4-on-4, Hillen gets locked up in his own zone 99% of the time.

Again, considering that we have just sent down Orlov and signed Schmidt, keeping (and re-signing) Hillen just looks dumb.

And turns the puck over often.

But his skating stride is so awfully pretty.

I think Orlov will replace hillen at the least (when orlov gets use to the system). And thanks for using a reference point. Orlov's on ice-Corsi is also better than Hillen.

Said it before, it's a depth signing. Team has used 12 different defenseman in 35+ games this season, with 6 of those d-men missing more than one game due to injuries.

Looking forward, subtract the likes of Hamrlik and Poti and hopefully Schultz for next season, you are down to 9 d-men (to include Hillen) that played this season. Last year the Caps used 10 different d-men over the course of the season. So Caps besides the 9 d-men (Schilling's included in this bunch) that they used this season, will be able to draw on the likes of Wey and Schmidt for next year.

@RossyYoungblood: Word around the league (unofficially) is that Plymouth Whalers Tom Wilson missed Game 2 with a concussion. #OHLPlayoffs #Caps

He missed Game 3 tonight as well. Carrick had two secondary assists in a 6-3 win as Plymouth took a 2-1 series lead over Owen Sound. He now has eight assists in seven playoff games and leads OHL D in assists and points in the playoffs.

Three assists for Carrick. Not to nitpick.

EDIT: Nevermind, they changed it after the game was over. Gave on of his to Rakell.

Another two point night (1+1) for Carrick in a 4-3 loss. Series tied at 2. Wilson still out.

Wilson seems like a big loss to them. Hopefully they lose so Wilson can rehabilitate at DC. I'me xcited for him to come over.

I'm excited too, but patience is a virtue, especially with prospects. And if he does have a concussion, there's no way they bring him up to lose a year of his ELC so he can take a risk of aggravating the injury.

I think they should bring him up and help him heal and maybe play in some Bears playoff games if he's OK. That won't cost an ELC year.

Wilson played tonight 5-0 win, 1 PPG and it was assisted by Carrick.

Wilson had 2 roughing penalties and an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, hopefully not a dive.

Hey guys, looking for thoughts on Jaynen Rissling. Do you think his lack of mobility is too much to overcome or do you think he has an NHL future? He made the list of most intimidating D prospects here.

London & Plymouth are tied at 1 in Game 1. Carrick with a deflection goal. Wilson dropped the gloves early in the second period.

@WeissFC: Plymouth’s Connor Carrick scores to tie the game at one. Carrick is the most improved player from last year to this year that I’ve seen.

It's the Tom Wilson show in London. Ties the game with 41 seconds left. Completes the hat trick.
OT up next.
