per staple, martinek in for carkner (makes sense, he played great thursday) and lee or JJ in for reasoner. hoping it's lee. i just don't think (1) JJ can be a better option, particularly not in his first game back or (2) that JJ's continued development is actually important to the organization anymore.

I would like to see JJ get a chance. The Islanders have nothing to lose and everything to gain. From reports he's become a gritty player in Sweden. If he can bring that here, with his size he can be a very effective bottom 6.

oh, i'm sure he can be useful. the question is whether easing him into a bottom 6 role is really worthwhile for a team that already has guys like mcdonald, cizikas, martin, and lee.

(looks at roster, sees Keith Aucoin centering the third line)

well, maybe you have a point

Move Cizikas to the 3rd line already, Aucoin should be on the 4th line. Hopefully Ders is playing today.

Just got my tix on StubHub - only around 700 left. Paid 44 each for section 338. There are some $30 tix left, and they come with a comfy backrest (the cement wall at the top row)!

I'd go with JJ, he's older, been playing pro hockey (fin, swed, bport) for eight years, has shown much improvement in his offensive game, was always good defensively, he's 6'4".....kind of a no brainer. Though, I'd have got him into a couple of AHL games first though, like they just did with Ullstrom.

huge 2 points right here. Rangers got 3 points out of 4 against the Penguins which really hurt us. I think if we make the playoffs it will be over the Devils who are in a free fall.

Have to win tonight to keep up with the Rangers and to make some space between the Sabres and Flyers who are playing well.

I hope im wrong, but this has the typical, black death jersey sell-out crowd at NVMC important game = let down.

Hope im wrong!!!!!! And according to the Lightning GDT, looks like Hedman wasnt on the ice for morning skate, he may be out tonight! That would be huge

They definitely need to send JJ down for a game or 2

Looks like about 1000 tix left between Stubhub and Ticketmaster. It'll be close to sellout tonight and I hope they are able to feed off a loud crowd.

This is unbelievably big, he's usually up against Tavares, this will give that first line some room out there.

If this was last year I would hope he plays Tavares sort of made him look bad a few times, but seems like Hedman has improved alot since then(games this season)

On a side note that's why you generally don't draft defensemen high, chances are it will be 5-7 years before they start hitting their peak. I think in about 5 years it might be debatable again who is a better player between the 2

Isles always play TB hard especially at home. A little worried now that the bolts have a real goalie though. Hoping for great things! LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!
