Lundqvist gives thumbs up says no issue with hamstring. No official word yet but I'd think he's starting.

That's a lot of work for the King.

Theres the million dollar question. Will this team put up the same effort they did wednesday and Friday against the Pens? Hope so but not holding my breath.
Canes are beat up mentally and physically but they still have some guys who can put the puck in the net.

Hagelin, Brassard, Richards and McDonagh with the goals, Biron in goal so we get a shut out.

Play like we did yesterday and the Canes fans will leave the arena by the middle of the 2nd period.

The question is, will we play that well 3 games in a row? Who knows.

I'm really curious what they're going to have left in the tank for the game tonight. Last night was a war + travel = tough to have same energy for this game. Tonight will tell a lot about the rest of the way.

I expect a convincing win by NYR.
My expectations are that there will be less fluctuation in the standard of play going forward. Zuccarello, Clowe, Brassard especially have given the team more texture, more creativity and unpredictability, and it may be pulling up the level of play by some other players too.
The best thing is they seem to make more standard hockey plays, like passing to a guy who is open (who made the effort to get open) in the slot, or near the circles, etc. and shoot the puck.
I'd love to see them add a bit more of the going to the crease approach tonight.

Man if only w'e still had Staal and sauer what a lineup it'd be. Let's at least get Staal back. Like the way the lineup looks today and more importantly moving forward

When we get Staal back, our defense is as good as it should be for a Cup contender.

McDonagh-Girardi
Staal-Del Zotto
Moore-Stralman

I would sit Stralman before Eminger right now. Though those two and Moore will be fighting for the bottom 2 spots.

I can't agree with this. But i'd personally sit Eminger over Gilroy so maybe my judgement is clouded.

I see no problems in Stralman's game

If they can keep the energy from the last two games this shouldn't be a problem.

Am I an idiot or has Clowe been playing LW. I keep seeing him listed at RW, but I thought that MZA was playing RW and Clowe LW. Thanks.

definitely need to see some more of that...zuke has looked good since returning. 100 times better than the first time around and seems to have so much more confidence...now he just needs to start cashing in and getting some points to go along with the chances

I think Stralman was good last game. And his offensive is better than Emingers. But Eminger definitely have been good this season, compared to expectations.
