I think it would be a good series. Hitmen had the edge in the regular season, 4 games to 2 I think.

I think it would be a fun atmosphere too, the Red Deer faithful would probably be willing to travel to Calgary, which would fire up our fans and refresh the rivalry.

Thier 'tender, Bartosak, is a damn good one so I think it would be pretty low scoring similar to our current series with SC.

I like the Hitmen's chances to win the East, but the Winterhawks and Blazers are a little scary.

But, we need one more dubya this series before we get too serious about the ones coming up!

Hitmen - Rebels games are great because there are a lot of fans of each team in the house, plus its always fun to watch Dumba score goals and take penalties.

Congrats to the Hitmen, knocking off the Broncos to advance to round 2.

Just thought I'd get this back to the first page.

Hitmen VS. Rebels game 1 goes tomorrow at 7:00 @ Scotiabank Saddledome.

Should be a good tilt.

Hm I should probably go to a Hitmen game so I can remember what it feels like to cheer for the winning team

What's Brent Sutter doing in the Rebels organization now? Just ownership/management ? I think he used to be their coach as well but I don't fully recall the situation.

Coach/GM as well. He took over coaching again midseason.

Rebs didn't really play their game tonight, solid effort in the 3rd though.

I kind of hope the game goes to trip OT. I don't know, why not eh?

Would be cool to see some tense, exhausted hockey.

Scratch that as I write this post, I make plans with the boys to go out tonight. Here's hoping for a regulation win!

Triple OT game 5.

He was yelling so hard he was beet red. He had every reason to be mad though, brutal call plus the way the penalty was handed out after the fact.

Both refs had some, um, interesting calls all night, both ways. That one though was probably the most obvious case of a "well he's hurt, we gotta call something now" call I've ever seen.

Hate to see Pavlo go down, but it was a brutal call. Good thing the Hitmen didn't do anything with it, except take a penalty and miss the net. It was a pretty exciting game though, nonetheless.

2-0 series lead going to Red Deer. Wouldn't be surprised to see it come back to Cowtown 2-2.

Pulling for the sweep though.

Hoping for a Hitmen win and a Flames loss tonight.

Game Three of the series goes tonight. Puck drop at 7 at the Centrium in Red Deer.

One lineup change, as Pavlo Padakin is out with a knee injury. Rookie Chase Lang makes his WHL playoff debut in Padakin's place.

Dreidger starts for the Hitmen and Bartosak for the Rebels.

Go Hitmen!

Dumba scores in OT to win it 2-1 for the Rebels.

Hey Fellas,

I am actually making the trek up to Red Deer tonight to go to the game, but I was just wondering if we had any Red Deerians in the house and knew if you have to pay for parking at the Centrium? Just deciding whether to take two cars or one haha.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks and Go Hitmen Go!

Awesome game again, really felt that once it went into OT the winner of this game takes the series. I think Red Deer takes 5 out of sheer desperation, Hitmen in 6. This series honestly deserves at least 6, last 3 games have been fantastic hockey.

Sweeeeeeeet Victory!

Great game, I think the Hitmen dodged a bullet. The Hitmen only played well in the first and last few minutes of the third. The difference between 3-1 and 2-2 is huge. Driedger is hot right now, Rask is putting up points but not looking that great to me. Also, Dumba is nothing special. Great shot, but takes a lot of Dumba penalties.

Hitmen in 5! I don't wanna give up my Roughnecks for game 6.

Dare I say Battle of Alberta WHL style?

Mornin' folks!

Great day for hockey, just like everyday!

The Hitmen have the opportunity to close out the series tonight at the 'Dome.

Game 5 goes at 7:00

Let's go Hitmen!
