yup, we don't have the heart to push for a playoff position now.

It's amazing how quickly a season's tone can change.

This team is still a long ways unless we make huge off-season moves but when exactly was the last time that happened? Watching this team trying to stand toe to toe with playoff teams is laughable.

Ups and downs

As the team matures, there will be more ups and less downs

Lets relax a little and enjoy the improvements and accept this isn't going to happen over night

Look at the bright side. Playoffs = more Tambo. We go downhill the rest of the season and Tambo should be gone.

The post helped him out twice. But as always, he was the best Oiler on the ice.

And that's what we look like against a bigger team that is a legit cup threat. No surprise. We really need some talented size on this team. I hope we take Nichushkin in the draft somehow (even if he will be minimum 2 years away).

Could be another long season next year, if Tambo fails to address the holes on this team. Having The ducks, kings, sharks and coyotes doesn't bode well for this squad. Not to mention Vancouver will still be with us. Here's to Tambo bringing in some grit that can actually play in meaningful roles.

Well, Tambo sat on his hands all year and tinkered around the edges when we had 2 centers in the lineup.

Ralph has his favourites, and his favourites are some of our worst players.

I was expecting the Oilers to just miss the playoffs and be content with that. But knowing we could have made it if we had better management infuriates me.

It's too bad that 5 game win streak has been completely undone by the last two games.

This team doesn't have what it takes.

Talented size, finally.

Tambo must've been confused when he traded a fourth rounder for Smithson

Dubnyk is the best goalie once the game is out of hand. Ironically, he is the reason the game is out of hand because the first 3 goals were all quite weak.

Kings schooled us. We literally had no answers to what they did. Too big. No mistakes. Perfect system.

They beat us 10 times out of 10 if they play their game.

This was quite the wake up call in terms of how terrible we are. No one could get any chances at EV. Embarrassing.

in the immortal words of Daft Punk:

"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"

Perhaps in LA's case you should replace Faster with Bigger... but this afternoons effort just shows how far we still need to go in order to compete with these teams.
