Tyler Graovac, Belleville Bulls (19)
Lucas Lessio, Oshawa Generals (14)

Both Scheifele and Strome are 1st round draft picks
and Lessio is a 2nd rounder who has always been a ppg player in juniors. Even if Graov doesn't pan out, this is a good looking 7th rounder.

You've seen him play quite a bit, I presume?

I've watched him play 4 or 5 times, and heard the inconsistency part from 67's fans who watched him play every night.

From afar, it appears his play has picked up considerably since the trade to Belleville...at least in terms of his +/-.

I'm really hoping that this kid turns into one of those diamond in a rough type guys.

Don't put too much stock into +/- 67's were beyond bad this year.

I don't know how to really take that. He sucked two years and then exploded in his final year.
Combination of injuries and his role on the team. Should be noted his scoring explosion with Ottawa this year was with some nondescript linemates, much of which was at even strength. Very little playing time with 2013 Top Prospect Sean Monahan.

Am I awful for hoping Belleville gets knocked out of the playoffs so we can see Graovac in Houston sooner rather than later?

Playoff experience for a younger player is worth a lot, too, though.

Learning how to manage the high emotions at an earlier age can only help.

Selfishly I think the same way. Also Dumba as well.

I believe Dumba is still too young to play in the AHL. I could be mistaken about the CHL transfer agreement, but I believe it applies, at least in this case, based on age alone.

I think Red Deer will be meeting Portland for the WHL championship but Portland will likely dispatch of them in pretty short order.

I might be wrong, but I believe Dumba could finish this season with the Aeros after the Red Deer season ends...but he wouldn't be able to start the next season in Houston due to his young age.

That rule only applies when the CHL team that owns the rights of the player is still playing.

So if an 18 year old Canadian kid is drafted but is playing in the CHL, he can't join the AHL until he is 20 to play in the regular season. But if his CHL team fails to make the playoffs or their season ends before the AHL season ends, then he can go.

Bulmer was able to join the Aeros last season for a few games of the regular season and then the entire playoff run, if I remember right. Dumba could make the Aeros for the entire playoffs if his season ends by the 21st.

Looks like I'm wrong, that's cool.

I know about as much about the CHL transfer agreement as I do astrophysics. I'm aware of it's existence and I can usually parrot what other people have said, but it's unlikely that anyone should really listen to me.

long term project--could develop intoa bottom 6 guy. has skill for a big framed kid, has to fill out alot and develop a physical element to game.

keep expectations realistic and someday you may be pleased.

Filling out won't be a problem. he's shown he can throw on 20+ lbs. He's roughly 205 right now, and will probably decide 215-220 is a good weight for him.

And i see him more in the top 6 or bust, he has a great shot, so fingers crossed that this summer he takes a new step again.

I think he HAS to be top 6 or bust. He also needs to choose if he is going to be a scorer, bc he has a hell of a shot, or whether he would rather set up, he's shown very good vision. IMO he needs to be a scorer Perry type player (not saying he has the same talent). BC he's not cut out to be a jack of all trades IMO.

We can work in a pure scorer easily with our cast, only problem is Yeo but i hope he is gone within a year. Just the right time to bring in Tyler.

You need to find a new tune. Claiming Yeo is "bad" for offence is to be willfully ignorant. He sure was a detriment to players like Crosby and Malkin hmmm? Give it a rest.

Well, we DID draft a pure scorer. He just turned out to be a late bloomer.

Yeah, I had to do a double-take when I saw the FEL playoff stats and Eero Elo was actually among the leaders.

That, and he had a hatty (as shown in the YT) after joining the eventual champions, Ässät Pori.
