Oh... and the power play. Leave it to Beaver?

YES! LEAVE IT TO BEAVER!

Much better play from Brad recently.

Yes, he has wonderful creativity out there and isn't afraid to throw his body around. Definitely has a nose for open ice, especially on the PP.

In my opinion, the PP has looked much better because we actually have some creativity there with Zuccarello and Brassard. The make a big difference with their vision and patience with the puck.

Hank was superhuman today.

I'm not going to sugar coat anything. I love Brassard. The guy needed a change of scenery (like Gaborik). As soon as I saw we got Brassard, Moore, AND Dorsett in return I loved the trade. They are all going to be fan favorites.

Clowe > Dubi
Brassard > Dubi & Anisimov
Dorsett = Avery minus the selfishness (and he's a better fighter)
Moore can be a McTruck

Best Ranger I have ever seen and it's seriously not even close.

I actually can not stress how not even close it is.

Adding Ryane certainly makes it slightly Cloweser but still not enough.

I think he could very well be the best Ranger ever by the time he hangs them up.

There was one play where Moore pinched in deep on an odd man break, trying to make a something happen offensively...the play went back towards the rangers zone and Moore covered some SERIOUS ground to get back into the play. It's unbelievable to think this guy skates nearly as well as McDonagh. I really think the Rangers snagged a diamond in the rough with this kid.

He wins another Vezina and he's #1 imo.

He wins a cup and statue will be built outside MSG.

weird...Boyle didn't stand out to me in a negative way. took 2 penalties, but I didn't see anything that really stood out negatively other than that.

I don't get all the hype. Not that impressive of a game from Hank.

Gotcha. Just wow. Can't take nights like tonight for granted. Ultimate competitor.

Also, I find it extremely humorous that people are coming of of the woodwork to hate on Boyle tonight.

Not his best game, no doubt. But when the Rangers win 4-1 and your first move is to get your rocks off to bashing Boyle...you may want to just relax & reexamine.

Not trying to sound like a jerk BUT...you first say Hank didnt play that great (even though he was a ****ing beast and stopped 47 of 48 shots), but run to Boyles rescue?

Dude really? You loose all credibility with that.

Well now that my beloved Orange lost in the Final Four my full attention goes back to the Rangers. Didnt watch the game tonight in lieu of basketball but seems like Hank stood on his head.

He's the kind of player you want in a physical playoff series. A big presence in front of the net for when they slow the game down. He was in beast mode against Ottawa until the Neil hit. Boyle has also shown some really good chemistry with Brassard in just 3 games. IMO, Boyle and Brassard need to be kept together. Boyle doesn't get to decide how much ice time he gets. Maybe in a back to back situation, Torts wanted other guys to get more rest, so he put Boyle in more because he knows Boyle isn't a defensive liability.
The boyle hate is largely because he is a 4th line quality player who gets significantly too much ice time and put in roles that his skilled are not equipped for. If he was an 8-10 min a game 4th liner everyone would like him but when you put him on lines that need to score, and put him on the powerplay, it's a drastic misuse of his abilities and drags down the rest of the line. There is no excuse for him ever to be on the PP and certainly not to lead all forwards in ice time.

Brian Boyle is in a negative blackhole here on HFNYR.

Initially credited with 1G3A and gets 0 credit.
G and A taken away after the game, he deserved to have that happen.
Takes two penalties, worst player of the game.
Zucc takes 3 penalties within a short span in a close game when we were still in 9th place in the conference, solid game, Zucc.
Boyle turns over puck that would have lead to a offensive 2 on 1 from the opposition blue line, bad player with no hockey sense. AHLer.
Various turnovers during the game by other players, unnoticed.
When Beaver was noticeably the worst player on the team, Boyle still gets ****.
When everyone is playing well, Boyle gets even more ****.
Boyle instrumental on PK, unmentioned.
Face-off specialist, HFNYR purposefully ignores relevance.
On ice for Power play during 6-1 rout and contributed in various ways, get Boyle off the powerplay, that bum.
2 good games followed by 1 turnover, AHLer.

What can be said? Whipping boys are fun.

I agree 100%, but that's not his fault. And for awhile there when we had no depth, there really was nobody in the organization that we could call upon. Kreider, Miller, etc just couldn't produce. They are young and need a lot of time in Hartford before they can come in and take Boyle's time. Boyle's mishandling is 100% on Torts. Boyle is not completely useless though. He's a good defensive forward (who is good at faceoffs) and grinder and belongs on the PK getting 10 mins a night. Nothing more, nothing less. I expect him to get a little bit less time in the playoffs, though physical playoff hockey is going to favor Boyle's game IMO.
