Wish Eller could've buried that chance he had. Oh well. I'm excited to see how we do this coming week. the fact that there are two CBC games for me this week is awesome. Is it possible for us to clinch this week?

If we go 2-1-1 or better then yes we will clinch. 5 points is the maximum we need assuming all the teams below us win all their games which is unlikely...the more the NYI/NYR lose, the less points we need.

Another fun fact from everyone's favourite useless trivia guy!

(consider that it is Sunday, April 7th on the east coast right now)

It is exactly one year ago to this day that we played our last game of the 2011-12 season.

Imagine if we could see the future, and know that we'd have 23 less points on the same day this season as we did last season; how close to suicide would we all be?

Emelin's injury looks like an MCL tear minimum.....possibly the dreaded triad injury. He got kneed kind of in the thigh though and I'd like to wish it was just a charlie horse....but looking at it, I think the MCL was involved as a minimum.

Minor correction: New Jersey is the team that decides our magic number, as they have the highest PPG of the non-playoff teams trying to push us out. 5 is still the maximum magic number as you said, however.

The Bell Centre: The only arena on Earth where the surface is bad for only half the players on the ice.

Should have been an embellishment penalty for Chara - coincidental minors.

lol heres the importance of the +/- stat

he was -1 tonight because he happened to be on the ice for when desharnais lost another face off which led to a shot which deflected off a bruins ass and into a net garded by someone who couldnt see the puck for a second and it went in.

Drewisky is probably the guy to blame tho because it said -1 on a piece of paper.

100% should have been a penalty to Eller since you could clearly see the jersey hold. I don't think anyone will deny that. What's ridiculous is a 6'9 beast of a man doing his best ballerina impression to draw a penalty.

I had to laugh watching the post game comments. Thought to myself that Jagr really doesn't fit into the Bruins. Julien, Krejci, Marchand etc always whining about something after the game but Jagr tells it how it is. Both teams play on the same ice so it's not an advantage to anyone.

Starting to think that the Wheel of Excuses is an inadequate representation.

It's more an ever expanding Lexicon of Excuses.

New entries:

The ice was bad at the time when we were trying to score.

Really tall people have high centres of gravity so fall down much more easily.
