Haven't seen or heard anything yet. Watson's dad didn't give any indication on Twitter and appeared as baffled as the rest of us that his son wasn't in the lineup.

I'm truly hoping he's meeting the team tonight in Chicago rather than an injury...

We need Chicago to lose in regulation to help us out but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The good news is they're beating Oklahoma City, which helps us a bit but still keeps us out of the playoffs. Peoria is currently leading Rockford after 2, so hope that score holds to create a little separation there.
Is that what the official scoresheet said? Aaron Sims was pointing out the errors all night long and from what I remember watching the game Ekholm scored twice unless Crowder got a piece of the second one...

I didn't catch the game. He played last night against Rockford. I saw him in the third period. Milwaukee dressed 8 D-men, but I assume that Scott Valentine was playing the wing again.

Ben Ryan has been out. Kevin Henderson is supposed to be back for next Friday's game. I see a Marshall Everson (LW) on the roster, born in Edina, MN in 1990. I have no idea who he is. Maybe a college graduate? Jeremy Smith's return is uncertain.

I just looked at the AHL website. It shows Crowder with #1 goal on the season. It is listed as the 3rd Ads goal after Ekholm (7) and Puustinen (14).

The Admirals website says that Ekholm scored two goals.

Yeah, the goal that was credited to Crowder was actually Ekholm's second of the night. He took a rink wide pass from Cehlin at the right point, deked and then walked around his defender and unleashed a wrist shot that beat Madore to the left post to make it 3-0. Aaron started yelling immediately at the scorers who were near his location as soon as they announced the goal in-house, but I didn't catch that call. I did hear that they didn't announce Cehlin as getting an assist, instead crediting Shalla who wasn't even on the ice at the time.

Earlier on the Ads and Ekholm's first goal of the game they didn't credit Winchester with an assist when it was Winchester who was standing to Madore's left that sent a pass across to Ekholm for the shot.

Ekholm has a really good wrist shot and was very active offensively while not really sacrificing defensively either. A really good skater for his size, would like to see him add a little more bulk in the summer, but I think he could be in the NHL next season without a doubt.

Edit: Just re-watched the first two goals in the 3rd period. Ekholm did score the 3rd goal cleanly. Van Guilder was off to the side of the crease, but did not touch the puck. Cehlin and Shalla were the other two forwards. Shalla should get the second assist with Cehlin getting primary. Crowder was on the bench and came out the next shift centering Bitetto and Budish.

Sorry about that. I was only following online and for some reason subjecting myself to the Brewers' awfulness.

FWIW, Scott Valentine and Anthony Bitetto were both skating as wings tonight. Valentine skated as a wing last night and scored a goal, tonight he beat the defense three different times skating right past them to create scoring chances. Twice Valentine was hooked badly coming to the net with the puck without a call. Really making things happen out there and giving it his all. A position change might not be out of the question...

Bitetto was pretty unremarkable at forward. Was up in the play, won a couple battles along the boards, but really looked like a deer in headlights at times in coverage situations. It's a very difficult transition to make.

Already 2 games back at 1-4. Their season's not over, but I can see the end!

Even the Cubs are ahead of the Brewers!!!

I asked the guys at the Admirals Roundtable about the mysterious Mr. Watson.
I hope to get an answer for Sunday.

Bitetto was awful as a D-man on Friday. He and Ford had enough turnovers to start a bakery. Usually, he plays well back there, but with Ellis in the line up and the 10 forwards, somebody needs to play up front!

How Joonas Järvinen has played this season? Does he have a chance to play in the NHL next season? Thanks in advance

Most of the time he has played well. He has caught on to the NA style game. He needs some work on positioning and when to use his size. After he does those things, he can play in the NHL. The short answer is yes.

The other problem is that Nashville has a bunch of defensemen. Ekholm is ahead of him in Milwaukee. Ellis, who is smaller, is back from from Nashville, so Jarvinen would be #3 to be called up. However, I expect Jon Blum to be gone, maybe Hannen too. If Nashville doesn't sign another D-man, Jarvinen could be the #1 call up next season.

Do you have a link or a tweet? I haven't been able to find out where Mr. Watson is. The Admirals have a new wing on their roster. See post #753.

Scott Valentine just scored again, is he playing on the wing again tonight? If he is then I think a position change may be in order.....

FWIW, Valentine started the weekend on the fourth line and by the time they arrived in Charlotte was skating on the wing on the Admirals top line...

He didn't look out of place last night. Has good size and a mean streak. Good skating ability for his size and a heavy shot. I think we'd be remiss to not at least approach him about his interest in a position change...

Speaking of d converting to wing, I'd be curious to give it a shot with Blum.

It would be difficult for him to play as poorly there as he has at D the last few games.

I'd like to see Ellis do it.

Ellis has the best hands on our blueline, hell even better then half our forwards. That toe drag he did a few games ago
