I actually like a lot of the moves Chicago has made this offseason. If it were any other team, I'd say get ready for the playoffs, but given what the Blackhawks do to potentially good players, I'd say pre-order your Angelo Esposito jerseys. Not that many people would wear Blackhawks merchandise in public.

I'd say it starts with the defense, but given that there isn't one, maybe it does start with Khabibulin.

Chicago just needs some of their young defensemen to be NHL ready, they need their defense to be much better in front of the net, otherwise it won't matter if you have Khabibulin or a pair of empty pads playing goalie.

i agree that the Hawks may surprise.

i like their defencemen alot, but agree that ruutu will likely be the key.
