Crunch are off the rails bad atm. LOL. Just watched Barbie make a horrible ole defensive play and Ceddy get smoked high blocker...had to turn it off.

Is Cooper just that good? Did Tampa Bay accidentally assign their midseason bed-*****ing to Syracuse in the mix of all the call-ups?

Has to be the worst played game by the Crunch this year. I seriously can't believe
Brian Lee is earning NHL dollars right now. I don't think he is even an AHL caliber Dman.
I know there is some new faces on the roster but this team defensively was 5 pylons and a goaltender on the ice. No pressure on the puck carrier, very few finished checks, and A TON OF D AND NEUTRAL ZONE GIVEAWAYS. One thing impressed me was Palat's stick handling. Looked like Kovalev at times and did create a few chances but that was the only slight excitement in this game. I hope they have a plan to tighten up defensively because we don't need a lower seed than we have right now.

I felt Tanner Richard was far and away the best player on the ice for the Crunch tonight. Did not look out of place at all and the look on Kane's face after he got nailed by Richard in the 2nd was worth the porce of admission. After Kane picked himself off the ice while watching Richard skate away that is.
Paradis showed a lot of rust from lack of playing time, but did try and stir the pot. I totally understand why Lee is in Syracuse. Believe it or not, he played so poorly I actually was hoping Oberg would come back so Lee would get less ice time.
Oberg got crushed by Kane behind the Crunch net midway thru the first and did not return. Jacques did not return after first intermission. No clue on either status. Crunch played most of the game down two, and Neilson had very little ice time after the first intermission.
If they play in Hershey tomorrow as they did at home tonight, it will be about a 7-1 massacre with the Crunch on the low end of the score.

I think Tanner is going to end up being a gem. The things he's deficient at, can be improved through work. He has things you can't teach. Good call about him being the best forward on the ice.

Too bad Rechlicz was a healthy scratch. Him and Neilson would probably be fight of the year. Maybe it'll happen tomorrow if both are in the lineup, although it depends on how Neilson's feeling after his scrap with Wellar.

I feel for the Crunch. It's been a revolving door for most of the season and they just can't seem to catch a break. Once things settle down though, they'll be fine. I'm not too worried about this team.

You wouldn't take Barkov at 4?
Hartman or Muller might be there at 34. Would trade up for Hagg.

I'm expecting Zadorov, but we may be picking too high. We could trade down a couple spots though.

I would take Nishushkin over him in a heartbeat yes. He can play wing and center, is very physical and has the same offensive potential. I can't see a very good place for Barkov, as long as Lecavalier is not bought out and I doubt this happens. So I think Nishushkin is the more usefull player for us.
I doubt Mόller will be available in the 2nd round. He is the guy that went up all year long adn those guys usually go early than expected , because one team is even higher on him than the rest and I have seen him as early as 15 on some rankings.

Oberg joins Mikkelson on the out 4-6 weeks list; Oberg with an upper body injury after getting crushed by Kane Friday night. Jacques is day to day with an upper body issue as well. Glad we got a few bodies back and some new faces in the lineup from trades and signings or Coach Zettler might have to dress again.

Well thats not good but Sergeev will join you soon as well. ANd Taormina won't stay long in Tampa. How is this Nielson guy??
And what do you Syracuse fans think about your new jerseys? I love the orange alternate jersey.

I think Barkov can play wing if needed also, we could slot him between Purcell and Killorn in Pyatt's place. He would make that a much more offensive line and Vinny could be more of a 3C where we don't need to rely on so much. Nishuschkin probably won't be over for 2 years either, not sure on Barkov's situation.

Nielson is tuff as nailz (pardon the pun). Willingly takes on all challanges. Wins some, loses some, always an entertaining bout. Cam Janssen refused all invites this year from Nielson, to the point where Janssen did not need a certain piece of protective equipment when he was on the ice against Nielson as there was nothing to protect. May get one or two games in the show as a thank you to his dedication to protecting his teamates, but that would be all at this stage. Great lockeroom player, even more personable off the ice. Very active in community.
The Orange jersey is a carry over, due to Syracuse University being here. Most fans really like the new colors, road blue being my personnel favorite. The numbers are much cleaner to ready from the stands. The jerseys we used during the Anaheim period were a carry over from the Blue Jackets era, with just a couple of color changes.

You are talking about Neilson, but I mean the new guy Nielson, is a college signee.
Good to hear you guys like the jerseys, because I like them as well (not only the orange one)

I must have missed something - when did we get Carl Nielsen?...or is he just a Syracuse signee?
