Getzlaf did not play

Myth busted.
I was going to post the same thing although last time I did the numbers Perry was at a PPG for all the games Getzlaf missed that year. Just using January leaves out a few more games.

Getzlaf was the guy who fueled Perry's MVP season. His PPG output was almost as high as Perry's down the stretch - he was just racking up assists as opposed to goals.

Perry made so much plays on his own. He was the MVP that season. Lubo was the 2nd start that year

Perry was the MVP sure but without Getzlaf coming back down the stretch there's not a chance he wins it. He hits 40-45 goals and maybe 85 points as opposed to the 50 and 98 he did get.

I think the key point is that we need that Perry to show up today, regardless of whether or not he really existed.

Agreed. A healthy Getzlaf would be nice too but I'm not holding my breath.

That would be hell. No pun intended . I will try my best to join you all for the game, so long as dinner with the gf's relatives is not too prolonged...

Sharks only walked away with a point, courtesy of the Stars. Here's hoping we can open up some distance on the teams chasing us.

I'd love for LA and San Jose to stay at 4/5 and beat the crap out of each other

Going to leave work early for this one. Cautiously optimistic in a ducks win. Hoping the boys know how big this game is.

Hoping for a healthy and angry Getzlaf tomorrow. I can live with a loss here, but I want a smoldering crater left over after our game against the Oil.

We should come out playing really physical tonight. We have nothing to lose because tonight is probably going to be a loss anyways

Hopefully Fasth has his head in the game tonight. No more head scratchers.

In Boudreau language day to day essentially means week to week. And the flu means an injury which prevents a player from skating for over a month.

I'm not expecting much without Getzlaf. Maybe Fasth stands on his head and we can steal two points.
