Maybe he has a nice KHL deal already lined up and would actually prefer to be bought out.

But after next season cause he is due to be paid a cool $8 million for 13-14.

Maybe this was the plan. Play like ****, collect a bunch of money, then go back home.

I don't think he will get a starting job in NHL if we buy him out. Either retires or goes back to Russia.

^ Would a KHL team even want him after his embarrassing play the past two years? I would think if Bryz gets bought out and can't get a job in the NHL or KHL he retires from hockey and starts training to become a space traveler.

Anyway if Bryz gets bought-out I honestly can't see him playing in the NHL after that. I think he heads back home to the KHL. He was considering it before he signed with the Flyers, probably more of leverage move but with Russian players you can never count out the KHL as an option. He'll be a rich man when you add that money on top of the money he stole from the Flyers.

24.5 million.

The balance of the contract is: 26.5 million over 6 years.
1/3 of that (the amount he loses by getting bought out) = 8.8 million.
So to replace that lost income, he has to get a 1.5 mil / year contract.

I don't see any incentive to not get bought out here.
Whatever the case may be, I think it's silly to suggest there's no pressure on him to perform. It's clear that he cares and, if nothing else, he's putting the pressure on himself. The "will-I-be-able-to-survive" pressure might not be there, but that doesn't mean he's carelessly going about his business.

He's still pretty good for KHL standards. He got signed by one of the most historic Russian team in CSKA Moscow during the lockout. So he's still respected over there.

Who knows though he might just hang it up after this. He'll be rich enough to quit but I'm sure he'll have options in the KHL if he wants it.

I have a feeling that when he's bought out, some other team in our conference will pick him up and he will own us. Like all ex-Flyers do.

It's not that I don't think the guy wants to he successful. I just think if he gets bought-out its going to take a toll on him mentally. I think he'll head home where he's more comfortable rather than continuing to play in the NHL.

With Bryz I am not concerned about that happening. I will only believe it when I see it.

I'm not worried about that one bit. I would love to see our offense go up against him.

Boosh never really owned us during the times he wasn't on the team. I really wouldn't be scared of Bryz owning the Flyers on another team. Actually, I would expect for us to score at least 4 goals in those games.

He played 4 games for us in 06-07. Any time after that he was technically an ex-Flyer.

I can see BP1974 now once Bryz is bought out this summer. "I'm done with this team, Bryz never got a chance from day 1. If PH would have put a decent defense in front of him we would have won a vezina"

You know you're grasping at straws when you're using a 1 game sample to bash someone.

Don't fall into his trap. He was waiting for someone to make this argument, then he'll call you a hypocrite for critiquing Bryz's effort last night.

That argument won't make sense because you and I are angry not because of Bryz's 1 game effort but because of the culmination of his efforts and his overall play, but I guarantee you that's where he's going with this. He's done it several times before. He just tries to egg everyone on.

I just find it amusing at this point. Not sure how anyone can defend a guy who is sporting a .890 save percentage since Feb. 1. You can only have so many excuses.
I put up the stats in the Jets GDT and so far I havent had a response to it.

Here is another more.
Bryzgalov has 17 "wins" in 7 of those wins hes allowed 3 goals or more.

Bryzgalov has a .836 save percentage since the trade for Mason

it was also great of him to act like a jackass to Mason after he was pulled. The sooner this idiot is out of here the better. not sure I can tolerate another season of his ****ing act.
