Everyone seems to have forgotten about how great did Blunden play last night, probably his best NHL game yet. Sure he'll never be much more than a fringe player at best in the NHL, but if he keeps having performances like last night's he might be able to buy a regular 4th line spot, if not in in MTL than somewhere else.

I mentioned Blunden earlier. You're right, he was impressive. High-octane energy, chasing down the puck and hunting opposition all over the ice. A couple of very nice rushes and forechecking plays in deep. Last night's Blunden would be a really effective 4th-line player in a physical series.

oh please. DD didn't steal anything from anyone and he's got his fair share of criticism early in the season from the coach and the fans ... both eller and DD can give a similar 5 on 5 upside, but honestly the big difference is Eller needs to see more PP time ... he is very direct in his approach for goal and has a nice wrist shot/puck control/strength (VERY underated on PP, vital to win those board battles)/mobility ... that could easily be the difference between success and failure in the POs imho. Just needs to get his hands dirty a little more and put his nose in front of the net like he did in the past couple of games.

The game Plekanec was out Eller got PP time and had 2 points. He definitely needs to see more time on it. Him and Chuckie both IMO.
