Just thinking back to when Bryz was originally signed and most people thought he would be our savior and seeing where we are now just makes me shake my head.

That argument won't make sense because you and I are angry not because of Bryz's 1 game effort but because of the culmination of his efforts and his overall play, but I guarantee you that's where he's going with this. He's done it several times before. He just tries to egg everyone on.
I'm waiting for BP74's excuse as to why bryz's shootout sv% tanked to god awful numbers.

That should be gold. So far no reply on that, because I don't think he can think of anything.

Easy. "Laviolette doesn't practice the shootout or breakaways at all and therefore that's why Bryz and most of our skaters suck at them." Am I doing it right?

I just find it amusing at this point. Not sure how anyone can defend a guy who is sporting a .890 save percentage since Feb. 1. You can only have so many excuses.
I put up the stats in the Jets GDT and so far I havent had a response to it.

Here is another more.
Bryzgalov has 17 "wins" in 7 of those wins hes allowed 3 goals or more.

Bryzgalov has a .836 save percentage since the trade for Mason

it was also great of him to act like a jackass to Mason after he was pulled. The sooner this idiot is out of here the better. not sure I can tolerate another season of his ****ing act.
What did bryz do when he got pulled Saturday?

I read that CBC showed footage of him ignoring Mason and yawning when Mason came over to the bench during a TV timeout in the third period.

Enjoy the KHL and your giant money bag Bryz

Backstrom/Smith/Howard/
Possibly Luongo if he is bought out

Replace him with any of these guys and we will most likely see better results.

Is this really a big deal? Speculating that he ignored Mason and yawning? I don't want Bryz anymore but this is grasping at straws, IMO.

Not that I think this clip is a big deal but how did you get that impression out of that video? I don't think the guy enjoys playing terrible and losing but he looks like he's ready for bed more than he's pissed off there.

I prefer not to read too deeply into that sort of thing, but for what it's worth he as shredded in the media for it. And not the Philly media either.

I meant before the yawn. The stare, curling his lips inwards, almost like he wants to smash something. But maybe he really is drained. Hope Mason starts a game or two and hopefully Bryz comes back well rested.

Yeah hes drained alright. Whatever goaltending talent he had has obviously drained from his body.

Eh. He had a 5 day rest. The regenerative effects were minimal at best.

I guess it's easy to make that assertion given how poor his play has been the last months, or especially if you're looking to criticize him. I guess I want to be able to think more of pro athletes as guys that actually care about the team and winning, even though it's not always the case. It's the kid in me

Ehh 10 games left, can he be worse than Bryz? Over our last five games Bryz was still under .900

5 points out of a playoff spot with 10 games to go, and you want to trust all 10 of those games that hasn't played a full game in a Flyers uniform and has been one of the worst goalies in the past 2 or 3 years?

Honestly, I want Mason to do well, but to put it on his shoulders that he will be instantly better than Bryz will ever be is really stretching it.

They aren't going to get a playoff spot with a disinterested goalie racking up .850 starts. Might as well put someone different in there who actually cares, and that the team hasn't lost confidence in.

It would be seriously difficult to be worse than Bryzgalov without being a full-on career AHLer, and so far Mason hasn't sunk that low. If anything, he'll at least be equivalent to Bryz. His stats so far this year have been better, too. And he managed to play behind the same team as Bryz without allowing goals at the rate of a shootout.
