One more top pick could make Florida a good team for a while. They need a center to build around. I think mackinnon would be great for that organization.

Mackinnon, Bjugstad, Shore, Huberdeau, Howden, Kulikov, Gudbranson and Markstrom is a great young core to build around.

I'm just glad all these bottom teams are winning too just incase we don't make the playoffs.

I could see NJ still making the playoffs. Kovy comes back this week? At least they're picking up these loser points when losing.

Isn't Huberdeau a center? Or are they using him as a winger?

He played center in Juniors but Florida uses him on the wing.

It was actually their backup in net Scott Clemmensen. Which makes it even more impressive. He stopped 40 shots.

Do you think Carter will pick up one more assist in the regular season?

cant say as I blame him. He might have been on the taxi squad if he tried to play for Canada.

Yeah I still don't think he'll make Sochi for the US but its a way better shot than he would have with Canada.

The US has benefited with dual guys getting shut out by Canada in the past. Brett Hull and Adam Deadmarsh are good examples of that.

Looks like Nashville is joining the basement party. Great, one more team to watch in the tank-a-thon.

I'm surprised it took this long. I've only watched about 5 of their games so far, but Rinne was the only guy who seemed to care. From what I've heard, that's the norm.

You must've heard wrong. Starting goaltenders are incapable of caring. See Bryzgalov, Ilya for evidence of this.

Weber didn't seem to care?

I didn't even notice him in the games I've watched, outside of the PP.
