Danny DeKeyser looks like a pretty good add by the Wings. How does a guy like that go undrafted ? or did he Schultz whoever drafted him?

He wasn't even in the BCHL during his draft year; he came into that league the following fall, and had a decent enough campaign to make a USHL team - where he wasn't that impressive. After that, a collegiate career at Western Michigan, for a stay at home defenseman, doesn't particularly stand out on a lot of people's draft radar. Honestly, I think you're seeing the peak of his potential right now - a second/third pairing stay at home guy. Think Marc Methot.

Watched the LA/Ducks game tonight.... the CBJ are not even close to the level of those teams... Goal scoring is biggest concern for JD/JK lookig into the future...

This is pretty cool.

Just like the game of hockey, employees from the Minnesota Wild use teamwork to solve problems and earn victories. However, often times these little wins for the organization often go unnoticed, especially when it comes to the PR staff. However, I was lucky enough to get a first-hand look at the staff’s work when Jason Pominville’s wife, Kim, decided that she was going to surprise him with their two children in Columbus.

The only caveat is that the PR staff on the trip, Ryan Stanzel and Carly Peters, didn’t learn that Kim was going to arrive in Columbus until the evening before the game. This might not seem like an ordeal, but the PR staff went above and beyond to make the Pominville’s trip a memorable one, including by helping keep their secret from Jason. Below is a timeline of the staff’s 24 hours after they learned the Pominville’s were coming to Columbus.

Nash in full beast mode. Two classic power forward goals, muscled to the net, tonight in Toronto. I do miss seeing that in person. Hope I don't have to see it much next year, though.

**** Johnny Moore looks about 12 years old, never noticed that here.

Interesting, only 10 minutes for Brassard tonight, and 9 for Moore. Didn't Brassard whine to the media through his agent about this a few years ago? Him and Tortorella should be fun to watch.

When you give a kid a big contract before he's earned it, it kinda leads to a sense of entitlement.

At least that's what I feel happened.

I'm watching the Anaheim-Edmonton game now. The Ducks are awesome, "they come at you in waves" is something I've heard about them, and I can definitely see it now. It makes me seriously respect Boudreau, who I never gave much credit for when Washington was an awesome team, but he has the Ducks playing that way now. Even when they are ahead in games they just fly out there and constantly threaten.

I have to say, I would not be opposed to acquiring Jiggy to tandem with Bob as a playoff experienced back-up next year. Sounds like he fed up with the country club attitude that has apparently moved in Colorado. Sounds like a familiar story.

Part of that is the team they were playing. They weren't flying playing us... :p

I seem to remember them coming at us in waves as well. Third period vs. Anaheim, they just flew at us over and over.

Bah, illusion... This in waves stuff just means the other team didn't want to play hard and check or they wanted to get into a track meet. Hell we came "in waves" to a few teams this year.

Well, I guess Chicago also didn't play hard against Anaheim. A lot of teams must just forget to do that versus the Ducks.

I received an invitation from NHL.com to share an invitation to join their Fan Panel:

https://www.nhlfanfaceoff.com/R.aspx?a=439

Several times a year, they send out surveys on fan interest and preferences. Feel free to check it out.
