He skated today, its not unreasonable to assume he could be back if they win a round or two

I think it would be better if he took the entire year off, for his future.

Toronto is giving it to the Rangers pretty badly. Creating tons of chances.

Nash looks like a more talented version of Stafford. Lots of tools and not much of a toolbox. Consistently misses plays that other top scorers see and make, like he's wearing blinders or something. Spends too much time looking at the puck when it's on his stick, which is odd for a guy with that caliber of puck handling.

He skated into the net and it went off his foot. Doesn't affect anything I was talking about. A terrible goal to give up by Reimer considering it wasn't even an actual shot.

Will be interesting to see if this causes Toronto to fall apart. They've played much better than they have shown during the season so I'm expecting this to at least be tied by the Rangers at the end of the period.

For a team with so much supposed offensive talent, the Rangers sure do generate very few chances. The only guy who ever seems to do anything offensively is Stepan. Richards appears to be a non-factor, at least in every game I've seen him play.

Edit: As I say that the Rangers connect on a beautiful play that somehow didn't end up in the net.

I swear it boggles my mind that this team is actually in playoff contention, they really are. Gross.

That's pretty awesome. Glad the Wild are treating him and his fam with class.

But... Jason needs to buy his wife a new car.

it was nice seeing Roy play in a role he always was meant for...
(he did have the classic Roy puck carrying PP waste moment, but other than that played a solid game)

Rogers Arena has gotten rave reviews from several friends of mine who've been at one point or another.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere rips Colorado Avalanche teammates in postgame tirade:
Quote:
ďAs long as we donít understand that we have to play better in our zone, weíll never win any games. We have to do a better job in our own zone. Thatís where it starts. We have to learn this at some point.Ē
Quote:
ďThe (allowing) the first goal is one part of it (problems), but I think it comes down to us not playing very well defensively. We spend too much time in our own zone, and thatís hard. Thatís where itís hard. We know we can score some goals, we have some offensive tools. But when you spend part of the second period in your zone and give up too many scoring chances, youíre not going to win games like that.

ďWe talk about it every day. At some point, we have to understand. Thereís no more excuses. Itís not about being young, itís not about Ö we have to put our head into the game.Ē
Quote:
ďSome guys are more worried about their Vegas trip at the end of the season than playing the games, than playing every minute of the games. Quite frankly, I donít care about your Vegas trip right now.Ē
Quote:
ďItís not constructive. We have to find a way to get out of this losing mentality, you know? It starts with me and the guy beside me and everyone has to do their part.Ē
Quote:
ďItís embarrassing. Iím embarrassed to be here right now. Itís not even funny.Ē
Quote:
ďI donít know what it is. Iíve been around for 15 years in this league and I donít know what it is. I donít know why we seem like we donít care at points. I donít know, I donít know we seem like, you know ó some guys are fighting to show that they belong in the NHL, some guys are fighting for contracts. And itís just embarrassing, the way we, you know, the energy we have in the room and the way we approach practices and the way we approach this game. Itís not how youíre going to win any games in this league. I mean, this is a team (Calgary) that we can beat if we set our minds to it, and every day is the same story. I donít know what to say. Iím beyond words right now.Ē

One of my mates who is an Avs fan just sent me that. Excellent article, good for him. There's whining when your not put in the game, when the refs do something bad but Colorado are just embarrassing at the moment, this is one tirade I fully support. Go Jiggy!

If Miller said it he'd be accused of whining.
