I got that. But "only the Bills" doesn't make sense.

It's just a dig at the organization seeming haphazard and minor league, probably in reference to the fairly amusing Mario press conference hilariousness

According to a league source, if Kolb sees the end of the contract he'll make a minimum of $6.1 million. When he inked the deal, the quarterback was awarded a $1 million signing bonus, the only guaranteed money of the contract.

In 2013, Kolb is set to make a base salary of $1.65 million, and will also get a $250,000 roster bonus as well as a $100,000 workout bonus. Adding his prorated signing bonus ($500,000), he'll account for a minimum cap hit of $2.5 million if he makes it to the end of the season.

In 2014, Kolb has a scheduled base salary of $2 million, and can also make an additional roster bonus of $1 million as well as another $100,000 workout bonus. Those, with the prorated bonus, mean that Kolb would carry a minimum cap hit of $3.6 million.

These numbers are all without incentives on the contract. Details of the exact incentives are still unknown to this point in time.
Good deal then.

Starting to feel the Bills are going:

Lane Johnson - Manti Te'o - Markus Wheaton/Quinton Patton

OT - LB - WR

I'm interested to see where the Honey Badger lands too. A 4th rounder is a low risk/high reward

They should go look at Eric Winston, his deal with SD fell through.

Zero issues with what he said. That should be every player's goal.

Earlier Monday, Bills general manager Buddy Nix called Kolb a "strong candidate" in a starting quarterback competition that will include Tarvaris Jackson, Aaron Corp and quite possibly a high-profile rookie out of this year's draft class.

I don't mind that being the goal for him, but actually thinking it will happen is another story. They aren't anywhere close these 2 next upcoming years. I suppose they could get red hot late and go on the ever popular run that seems to be trendy now, i'm not certain what they have now is any kind of contention. This year to me is a wash as well, everything is new so some adjusting will take place which means taking some lumpa and bruises. I don't expect him to be the QB beyond 2014 since they will likely draft a guy.

It's a canned media sound bite. He's not going to say "Yeah, we're probably not going to win anything, I'm just here for my paycheck."

There has to be a QB in the first three rounds, Nix has made it very clear that they'll be targeting one. Who exactly? I'm not so sure.

Is it true that Gilmore didn't give up a touchdown after week 5?

I think only Wayne only had more than 100 yards receiving too..... it is a wonder why the Bills didn't pit him against team's top WRs (Andre Johnson, Wes Welker)

They did, all the time. Fitz, Andre, Lloyd, Bowe.

IIRC Gilmore asked the coaches sometime around the bye week to shadow the top receiver...they listened and the rest of the way he was doing just that. Rookie mistakes here and there, but overall he did an excellent job.

Aaron Williams was on Andre Johnson (no idea why). Llyod wasn't the Patriots top receiver. Gilmore didn't have Bowe week two either.

We added Marcus Dowtin. A Pettine guy. Could be a solid depth player.
