Isn't bone headed plays what dictates a bad game? We're handing them the game, they don't even have to work for crease control or glorious chances, they can just wait for this team to do another idiotic play! That's what I call a bad game.

Seriously, just put Torts in the pressers. Have a guy say "good luck, have fun" in the locker room and just let them go out and play. I bet they would play better.
so its up to torts getting the team going. not the first time a team is down by 2 into the 3rd

Del Zotto is losing us this game all by himself. Quite the accomplishment!

We need to put 25 shots on in the 3rd. Just go for it. Go for rebounds, get guys in front of the net, don't take point shots because our pointmen are ****ing mentally ****ing **** ass challenged and doesn't think to find a ****ing lane or get a ****ing angle where they can actually see open net.

When emminger is your grittiest d your in trouble. Staal badly missed. Torts is overcoaching once again and he can't lv the lines alone for even one period. How will new guys establish chemistry this way?

Bring up some kids for fourth line. Don't see the current group providing much of anything.

Lol, so true. McD is the only one with a chance in hell of getting his shot through. Everyone else just derps with the puck, winds up, and shoots into the shot blocker.

Wow, I know I'm new here but how about showing some support for the boys out there instead of chastising them. I'm sure if they read this board between periods they would just curl up into a fetal position during the game.

Nope, it's not up to Torts, but at least he could:
* Bench Del Zaster. He's trying to lose this game single handedly.
* Not use Girardi or Del Zaster (duh!) on the PP ever again. We've tried stuff like that for years now. That got us into having one of the worst PP squads in the league. Consistently.
* Not punish Brassard for producing as much in one night as Boyle does in a season and bury him on the 4th line, while Boyle effectively kills any scoring depth that we actually traded for on the 3rd. We're back to having two 4th lines. Just great coaching!

Torts job is not to make them going, it's his job to not screw up tactically. And he's failing. Big surprise.

im love the trades that he made. i mean he couldnt pick up Hannan or a defensive dman to clear the crease.. If Sather didnt think this team need one, then Rangers need a GM that can see

Del Zotto is the most inconsistent player I've ever seen. One day, he plays great, the other, you wonder if he's John Scott in disguise.

And WTF is McD doing on that 3rd goal? ****ing move JVR the **** out of the crease. He just stands there. I can do that too.

The reason why we never bounce back is because Torts benches and throw out guys that GRIND THE **** OUT OF THE ****ING UNIVERSE. Brian Boyle should not see more than 2 minutes of 5 on 5 in a 3-1 3rd period. Brassard is skill, creativity, vision, goal scoring. Watch Boyle play 7 minutes in the 3rd + a few more for PK.

So, what will be the new lines in the 3rd?

Nash-Powe-Clowe
Asham-Richards-Pyatt
Callahan-Brassard-Powe
Zuccarelo-Stepan-Hagelin
