The only guy who deserves blame for this game is Torts.

It's stupid. We played like it was 1985. That's how you let the leafs win. Trap trap and trap....slow the game down. Don't give them space.

So, where are the people blaming Lundqvist for this loss? I'd love to hear your opinions on how he blew the game.

that one really hurts. Gotta take care of the Devils and Isles first now, instead of being able to look up the standings. 4 out of the next 3 or we are in trouble.
Horrible game by DZ.
I thought McD is starting to look better.
Stralman was good.
Moore was decent, deserves a little more icetime.
2nd line with a lot of chances but no one able to score.
Offense = Stepan + Nash.
I'd like Hank to stop at least one of those goals, but you can't blame him if DZ leaves him hanging out to dry all night.

Our sticks are almost as soft as our defense.

This team continues to prove it's nothing better than a .500 team - which is really a .375 team but for the HOF netminder. Nothing special here for the 72nd of 73 years since 1940.

Those people are getting a wakeup call. It was Lundqvist keeping them afloat the whole time. He has a night where he's average and this is what happens.

I don't want to see that Del Zotto - Girardi pairing again for a long, long time. I like both of them, but jesus christ that was a brutal game from that pairing. Brutal.

Del Zotto and Girardi were the worst defensemen all night long.

So naturally, they should be given first pairing minutes and not be separated!

And more from our genius offensive zone coaching. Wanna know why no one is ever there for the rebounds? Everyone is always behind the net.

Defense sucked a big one tonight. 2 games in a row now with piss-poor defense.

Gawd was Del Zotto bad. I swear it looked like a guy back for the first time in his home city trying to impress his family.

Girardi wasn't nearly as bad as folks are making out, but his tentativeness while cowboy DZ was out roaming the range didn't help.

And for the debate about Lundqvist, c'mon guys, he wasn't terrible - but he was certainly not great either. Completely lost the puck multiple times, didn't look good on the screened goal and got beat a number of additional times only to hear the iron clang. His defense didn't help, but he was merely pedestrian tonight.

so we make the playoffs, then what? Dolan makes an extra 1.5 million off two home games.

So Torts doesn't teach offense..... and apparently he doesn't teach defense either.... Why is he still here?

All stupid simple mistakes you learn not to make in junior hockey tonight. All 4 goals.

Nothing but squandered points tonight. Our goalie outplayed by theirs. Our defense generally terrible. Brad Richards completing less passes than Mark Sanchez. Really a giveaway of 2 points. So mich for the roll. It lasted 2 games, both against PIT. Played terribly in CAR and gave this game away.
