IMO he's been ok so far but I'm not sure he can play in the top4 for an extend period of times.... I would really enjoy seeing Beaulieu and PK together for a couples of games......

Subban will have to play like 27+min this game if we want to have a chance. I dont trust our D to stop Ovechkin at all. He's back and he's on fire.

So basically a normal night for Subban since Diaz went out...

Without exaggerating too much, I have a sneaking suspicion that Subban could thoroughbred his way through 30+ mins per game, every game. Especially in the shortened season. And I would be fine with that.

With Bourque on the fourth line we really do have 4 lines that can score at any time. Halpern and Moen have played really good these pass few games...

I think Diaz could be ready for the playoffs. If so, we'll be okay. I think washington could be a challenge but we can beat them by playing disciplined. We're better 5on5.

Subban needs to start playing 30 mins a game till the end of the playoffs.
Need to bring down Markhov's minutes. We don't want him breaking down in the playoffs.

Something tells me we aren't going to get an easy game. Caps are on a good streak. They seem to have woken up and to be actually playing to their strengths as opposed to the start of the season. I think we're going to get our hands full. Good thing will be to dress Bourque again after his long absence. He needs to get back into the rhythm. Hope he hasn't rusted up too much.

Nice to know how Therrien likes our dep'.

I'm thinking a good old fashioned Barn Burner is going to break out. Habs have the offensive depth to play that game. 6-4 Habs on top Ovy goes goal less!

Well he "sort of" did it last year under RC and iirc, he finished a +9 .

I'm willing to bet you didn't even know his name a week ago, and now after 3 games on a new team, you've made the assessment that he can't play in the top 4 for an extended period of time...

Drewiske has handled his minutes well so far. No way of knowing how he handles top 4 minutes unless you often saw him in LA.

You need a good def for when Subban does a turnover

I'd like to see...

67-51-11
73-14-21
27-81-8
17-24-32

79-76
44-26
55-40

Would have rather seen Tinordi but maybe they wanted to give Beaulieu a longer look.

When Dias comes back I'd like to see one of those rookies push Boullion out. He's been solid but I think Tinordi and maybe Beaulieu could have a bigger impact come playoff time. Remember how well Subban stepped in during the 2010 run. No reason to doubt why either of the rooks couldn't make a similar impact if they get their feet wet now and gain confidence.

Would love to see Tinordi step up when he gets his chance and is a steady, big body that's tough to play against. With Emelin out, we need that, and his size helps. Hopefully, by the POs it could be

17-14-21
67-51-11
27-81-73
32-24-8
53

26-76
42-79
44-61
55

If Tinordi can step into that role it really gives the lineup a great balance. But even if he isn't there at all, it's a pretty solid lineup

17-14-21
67-51-11
27-81-73
32-24-8
53

26-76
79-61
44-55

And the best is yet to come. Go Habs Go!

Part of me wouldn't mind seeing the Habs go with 7 d-man against Washington.

Subban - Gorges
Drewiske - Markov
Beaulieu - Bouillon
Weber

and limit Weber's ice time to 2nd duty PP and against the Caps 4th line....just to keep some of the other D guys fresher against the big guns on the caps.

.although dunno who you sit as a forward....
