Welp, Carolina got killed, but someone is getting two points in the Calgary-Colorado game.

Might as well keep an eye out below, as well as above.

He may have won a cup with Tampa but the guy has no clue how to run a team with a salary cap and parity in the league.

The owners are idiots too they should have blown this thing up a couple of years ago instead of being a mediocre aging team. I don't see that team being good for a while. I feel really bad for their fans.

Whenever there's a thread on the mainboards about him I'm shocked to see a couple of Flames fans defending him. If he was the GM here in Philly people would be melting down on here everyday and rightfully so.
My second thought -- after your misused homonym 'to' -- is about stones and glass houses. The Flyers FO is far from a PhD in CBAology.

I was tryping a novel there. That's usually when I make my spelling and grammatical errors.

Oh I pointed that out in the other post before that one. He's very Homer-esk with questionable contracts and CBA mishaps. Unlike Homer though he doesn't draft well and doesn't get much value in his trades.

Yeah, here's your statement:

Have you guys seen the GDTs for Flames - Avalanche game tonight? (on their respective boards) - Both fanbases wished their own team to lose in the battle of The Tank so the Flames fans occupied the Avs GDT and vice versa.. Sounds weird, but it was hilarious (at least the Flames board)

The Devils are falling apart. They are really missing Kovy. Their PP can't function without him. Bruins scored 2 shorthanded goals and had a shorthanded penalty shot.

EDIT: And now the Bruins are collapsing...interesting.

This may or may not be of interest to some:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...mpics/2071299/

Quote:
NBC will formally announce Thursday that it will offer live digital streams of all its marquee sports events -- including action on its NBC Sports Network cable channel and Golf Channel.

NBC has already had extensive live streaming of its TV coverage, including action from the Olympics as well as racing's Triple Crown, Notre Dame football, tennis' French Open and its Sunday night NFL games.

But NBC will greatly expand the on-air TV tonnage it makes available digitally. NBCSports.com will go from live streaming about 300 hours last year (excluding Olympic coverage) to about 4,000 hours this year -- and go from streaming about 110 events last year to about 1,000 events in 2013.

Rick Cordella, senior vice president for the NBC Sports Group's digital media, tells USA TODAY Sports that "we're streaming every thing where we have the rights to do it."

Meaning that now just about every prominent event NBC has will be streamed.

Among the NBC action that will be streamed: All NHL playoff games -- including first-ever streams of the Stanley Cup. that will be up from just 12 NHL playoff games being streamed last season.

Also, NBC will offer its first-ever live streams of Major League Soccer, IndyCar, English Premier League soccer and Formula One, including Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix (2:30 a.m. ET), as well as races leading up to the Triple Crown such as Saturday's Arkansas Derby (6 p.m. ET)

^ Yes, NHL games on NBC have been streamed.

The Flyers-Sabres' game this weekend has been added to the NBCSN lineup and will be streamed.

Another late change: the Flyers-Carolina game has been added to the NBCSN schedule.

Does anyone know how exactly the giveaway and takeaway stats are recorded? I was just watching yesterday's CHI vs. MIN highlights, and Stoner's intercepted pass on Hossa's goal was right on his stick. Yet, his stats show no giveaway. Makes me think all of these are ******** and can't really be trusted at all.

Kept by regular joe scorekeepers usually. Not surprised they miss a few things a game. It's fairly well known that things like hits are much easier to obtain in Philadelphia than in other cities, so I'm sure other stats are hit or miss

Yeah, and I realize mistakes happen, but I thought this was a glaring one, and I guess it made me wonder what they consider a giveaway or a takeaway in the first place.

Oh, and Nashville just dressed Daniel Bång for the second time. What I wouldn't give to see a fourth line of Powe - Klinkhammer - Bång one day

Get Jeff Beukeboom out there on D. You'd have Boom, Bang and Pow.

Much of the statistical analysis is subjective and some of the official stats can be interpreted differently.

I've wondered it as well, like...would a dump in for a line change be considered a turnover/giveaway when the opposing team got the puck?

Sounds like Detroit Red Wings and Jimmy Howard are on the verge of coming to terms on a 6 year deal paying in the range of 5.3 M per #TSN

Good for them. Good price (may be just a tad high, but it's fine) and 6 years sounds fine.

The fans pretty much hate it, for whatever that's worth. They think Mrazek will be ready in 2-3 years.

Detroit has known success for so long, they can't just fall back on someone like Mrazek. I like Mrazek, but yeah. At least Howard isn't that old.
