If you ask syz, that is Nick's fault. So is global warming.

He's usually not this bad. The boos must be getting to him. He isn't horrible usually, considering he's a rookie offense first kind of guy.

Whatever makes you feel better about losing him. Kid is still young, he'll undoubtedly continue to improve.

Nick seems to be having to play defense for the both of them.

That would actually be hilarious...but no. Think the oblivious guys figured it out when he held the puck and they saw his nameplate that said J.Schultz

Which is a problem considering neither of them know how.

To be fair, Justin is not always this bad, but he is not very strong either, and that means a lot of Oiler fans mad at Nick, the respected vet with 802 games who apparently can't play hockey anymore.

I am huge Oil fan, but I wish that they would see that golden boy Justin is just a kid learning his position and it does put extra pressure on Nick, which is why he has not looked great at times this year.

Justin will be an awesome player, but he is lacking in his own end.

This is more of an indictment of your ability to assess players than it is of Nick.

Oh, I'd still love to have him in the system, just making an observation. Half the time he doesn't even look like he's trying in his own end. I've just read so much hype about him being a top 5 prospect in the NHL, and there's no way, at least not the way he's playing tonight.

Can't teach effort. I don't know if he's always like this, but he's not even trying to get involved. One shift he switched sides with Nick twice, standing in the middle while Nick did all the board play.

In their defense, it's not as if Justin wears 6 and Nick wears 55. 15 and 19 can look fairly similar, I know I probably wouldn't have been able to tell the difference if I was anywhere but the lower bowl, although my eyes are pretty bad.

Looks like Schultz is a bit rattled by the boos. Definitely looking off tonight.

They just saw Schultz on the jersey and started booing is my guess. I wouldn't expect many Ducks fans to know there is another Schultz on Edmonton.

We handed you Pronger and a cup on a silver platter.

Without him, Ottawa would have won.

Get over the Schultz drama. How often do you see Turris hate threads. Sometimes players just don't want to play for your team. Edmonton has dealt with that time and time again. You guys pretty much have a playoff spot clinched. Be happy with that.

Lol. Winnik just stole the puck from Schultz twice in the neutral zone shorthanded.

Nick has really responded to the boos with a great game. Justin, not so much.

Pronger was not the difference in that series.

Happens all the time when fans try to boo players. Have you forgotten when the Kent Huskins got booed by Minnesota? lol

I don't think its the boos that are making J. Schultz play bad tbh, he's always been overrated defensively...he's great offensively but he simply can't hold it down in his own end.

Phoenix got assets back for Turris. You guys got Eberle and Smid for Pronger. We got nothing for Schultz because he lied to management and went back on his word. He's a dishonorable piece of ****.

He's a rookie. He plays like a rookie. I still like his upside.

well it hasnt even been a year, and if your trying to say edmonton was "over" the pronger deal within a year, well.....and why fans of any team in a similar situation pass up a chance to take a shot at him....i mean really its a message board, try not to take stuff to serious

That's what people said about Fowler. 3 years from now people will say "well he's still young". I'll get back to you on how Fowler turns out but in a season where the ducks have players close to +20 he is still a huge -

J.Schultz is having a terrible game so far. Anaheim has been dominating since 10:00 in the 1st, somehow the Oilers are still in it going into the third thanks to Dubnyk. Ugly game.

He's having a rough game, this isn't the norm.

Tbh he's a dick for not signing where he was drafted but in all honesty, with the exception of Allen, I wouldn't know who to scratch for Justin Schultz. Our D might not look good on paper, but they are playing well as a unit
