The All-star is trying to avoid being bought out by having surgery. Oh Mr. Heatley how you have fallen. Shame he won a gold medal, but at least he didn't win a Cup with the Sharks.

Anyone kind of wish we would've traded for JVR while his value was so low with Philly last year? Kind of the way we did with Turris.

Something like Ceci for JVR would've prob flown, considering Ceci is a highly touted prospect and Schenn was a decent Dman who just couldn't perform as expected by the leafs?

They probably were asking for an NHL defenseman who could play this season. Before the start of the year I am sure Philadelphia saw themselves as a contending team, so I doubt they would have moved JVR for a prospect.

Totally forgot today was Schultz's return to Anaheim. Glad I looked at the main board because that should be a fun first period to watch.

Silly Leafs. Up 3-1, now the game is tied 3-3 off a shorthanded goal.

I'm sure we could have topped Schenn without trading away one of our key cogs if the opportunity had come up.

Anyways I'm just saying it's too bad we missed that reclamation project boat.

i don't think we could have topped shenn. nothing against our players, but we didn't have a young d who played in the nhl to trade.

I just saw Brad Malone's first career NHL goal.

No, they can't take that away from me.

Noticing a lot more guys are wearing 65 of late. For example Etem, Flynn, Shaw, and Dekeyser. Coincidence or the result of Karlsson making it a more popular number? Up until this point a couple guys have worn it briefly, but only Derek Joslin used it for more than two years.

Who cares, in 15 years from now, there will only be one "65".

To avoid being bought out. He is having a scope done that will have him back by the end of the regular season... Ya. That makes sense

Pfft yeah because injuries always follow the proposed time table. It says they HOPE he will be back. That is why Spezza is playing right now right?

Spezza never had a timeline other that hopeful for the end of the regular season... Which is still 3 weeks away?

You're right... He is getting shoulder scope just to avoid a buyout... Suprised he didnt try and slice his own achilles as well...
